Democratic Attorney General candidate Stan Garnett will appear on 9NEWS political correspondent Adam Schrager’s Your Show this morning at 10:30AM. The Denver Post’s Lynn Bartels with the preview:
Garnett, the Boulder County district attorney, is challenging Attorney General John Suthers, a Republican appointed to the job in 2005. The accidental attorney general became the real deal in 2007 after winning election to the post.
The AG’s race normally is pretty ho hum but with Suthers and Garnett disagreeing on Obamacare and medical marijuana it’s shaping up to be a battle.

Disagree with a “journalist’s” use of lazy pejorative nicknames in her reporting, that is. Does she think that is cute or something? She just looks like a hack.
What other race has those as its three main issues?
I saw this too late.
Seems like a straight shooter. Responded with clear, concise answers which differentiated himself from Suthers.
Suther’s has stated he can prosecute the health care lawsuit for only $5,000. Garnett said that further exemplifies how frivolous the action is, since thinking you could prosecute a complex issue like that in federal court for $5,000 is ludicrous.
Running a statewide campaign is quite a bit different than running (unopposed) for DA. If he can assemble a good, experienced campaign team, he should be able to beat Suthers.
I’ve been impressed with the first couple of members.
I think Garnett would do a fine job as AG. He seems to genuinely care about consumer protection and the environment, both areas in which Suthers is rather lacking.
