Who will be Dan Maes' running mate?

Dan Maes had better get busy and pick a running mate. That is, if he isn’t convinced by Wadhams’ men to surrender the nomination he won this week.

He’s got an interesting choice to make. He needs someone that will appeal to his Tea Party base, but who might also bring some GOoPers away from Tancredo.

With no further ado, here are some possible candidates:

1. State Rep. Kent Lambert, R-Colorado Springs

2. State Sen. Dave Schultheis, R-Colorado Springs

3. State Sen. Kevin Lundberg, R-Berthoud

4. State Sen. Ted Harvey, R-Highlands Ranch

5. State Rep. B.J. Nikkel, R-Berthoud

6. Former State Sen. John Andrews

7. Jon Caldara

8. John Elway

9. State Sen. Josh Penry

10. Libby Szabo
