Tancredo Hammers Maes (and Hickenlooper)

  • by: Colorado Pols

Excerpts from a fundraising blast email we received today from Tom Tancredo’s gubernatorial campaign, attributed to longtime advisor Bay Buchanan. Skip past the “John Hickenlooper’s ‘sanctuary city’ kills people” boilerplate at the top, which you’ve heard before, to this part:

Another fact about Tom’s race: Last week, Colorado’s Republicans had the unenviable task of choosing from two of the worst candidates in recent memory.

In the contest choosing which candidate was less embarrassing, Dan Maes barely won. But what kind of candidate is Dan Maes?

Maes claims to be an executive and yet he has had no executive experience.

He claims to be a businessman but made less than the poverty level the past two years.

Maes boasts about his record as police officer in Kansas where he was fired after only a short period of time.

He claims to be against amnesty, but a few short months ago he was for it.

Incredibly, the Maes campaign has reported that over $42,000 in campaign contributions were slipped directly into his own pockets for “mileage reimbursement.”

In short, Maes is a man with no discernible credentials to be a candidate, much less a Governor.

As I said before, only Tom can stop Hickenlooper! But he can’t win without our help. And friend, Tom deserves all our support…

A race-ending percentage of voters would appear to agree.

    1. Dear fellow conservative,

Tom Tancredo needs our help! And he needs it now!

As you probably know, Tom is running for Governor of Colorado against Denver’s Mayor John Hickenlooper.

Let me tell you something about Hickenlooper:

For seven years Hickenlooper has run a sanctuary city, which has encouraged hundreds of thousands of illegals to its city limits.

He owns a restaurant that hires illegals.

He supports full amnesty for illegals!

And when it comes to responsibility for the consequences of his own awful policies Hickenlooper accepts none!

But it gets so much worse.

On Mother’s Day 2005, Raul Garcia-Gomez assassinated Denver Police Detective Donald Young with a point blank shot to the back of his head.

Police believe 19-year-old Gomez-Garcia was in the country 10 months — most of that time he worked for Hickenlooper’s restaurant.

Social Security offices advised the restaurant’s management that Garcia-Gomez had a false SSN. But no action was taken.

Garcia-Gomez lived with his girlfriend and their anchor baby and had been stopped for traffic violations three times in seven months. Sanctuary city policies protected him from deportation.

When asked about the incident, Hickenlooper took no responsibility! His own words: “That buck doesn’t stop here!”

Now he wants to be Governor!

In 2008 Francis Hernandez, an illegal alien living in Denver, crashed his car into an ice cream shop killing three year old Martin Kudlos and two adults.

Hernandez had been stopped 16 times — at least 3 times by Denver Police — but was never turned over to ICE.

The Mayor’s response, “Denver isn’t a sanctuary city”!! “Deny and Lie” when babies are killed and police officers murdered — that is the Hickenlooper style.

Now he wants to be Governor!

Friend, the only person who can stop Hickenlooper is Tom Tancredo. And Tom is in the fight of his life and needs our help!

No one has done more in our national fight against illegal immigration than Tom — no one!

From the floor of the Congress of the United States, Tom was for years the lone voice speaking out against illegal immigration.

He traveled the county at every opportunity to get the issue into the national debate. He even ran for President to force the other candidates to address the issue.

And against all odds he led the charge against amnesty twice, and won! This couldn’t have happened without Tom’s years of sacrifice.

Tom accomplished all he could in Washington and now wants to continue the battle in his home state of Colorado. He wants to free it of the burden of illegal immigrants — just like Arizona is doing.

Friend, to take America back, we have to do it state by state.

Washington has failed us too long — we can’t wait any longer. To win the battle against illegal immigration we have to get the states to take action and then face down the feds.

Tom has always been there for us — now it is our turn to be there for him. I hope you will join me and be there for Tom at this critical time.

Please make a contribution today, as generous as you can. Let Tom know you are with him, just as he has been with us all these years.

I have told Tom I will do everything I can to help him. I hope you will tell him the same.

Thank you so much for your support. I will keep you updated on campaign developments.

      Warmest personal regards,

      Bay Buchanan

Senior Adviser to Tancredo for Governor

PS Tom needs to raise $250,000 for a powerful media campaign coming out of Labor Day weekend.

With the legal limit for contributions set at $525 a person, we need all the help you can give. He is counting on you! Please give a contribution today!

                    1. I used to chase a few things on mushrooms too (many years ago).  We didn’t have a Playboy Club where I went to college however.

      1. I already used В® for CrazyDanВ® and в„ў for CrazyTomв„ў.

I don’t object to CrazyLooper, but I do object to the use of the В®.

        Find your own symbol BJ.

        You might try:

        HickeГ±loopГ©r (pandering to Mexicans)

HickenВЈooper (in the pay of the British)

HiВўkenlooper (none of his ideas make sense)

Hickenloo¶er (backwards P cause he is a Russian sleeper)

        1. That just may be genius. Awesome, Dave!

(Before some idiot like beej misinterprets this, I’m a firm Hickenlooper supporter. But I know a hilarious zinger when I see it, and this is an example.)

  1. but isn’t this like the side show and the main event is under the big tent between the wanna “B” on the flying trapeze swinging back and forth on his positions and the sorta “B” walking a tight rope between Washington and Colorado?

  2. At Politicians using the word “anchor babies”? It just feels racist and bigoted imo, and I can’t believe they aren’t getting called out for it.

In fact I remember a few years ago, using that term was actually taboo amoungst reporters and pols.

Have we really gotten to the point where educated people can bandy about prejudiced slurs to appease a fringe element?

    Sad.

      1. American citizen offspring of illegal foreign nationals are more easily refered to as Anchor Babies.

I’m related to an Anchor Babie, well he’s 50% AB. He’ll grow to be fine and loyal young adult. The little man is now parading around in American flagged Ts and RWB shoes.

        1. …or feigning ignorance. Either way, I hope someday you realize that the point of a slur is to dehumanize it’s intended target and not as tool for language simplicity.

It is much “easier to refer” to Homosexuals or African Americans using 2 syllable words like n****r or f****t. Maybe we should do that? While we’re at it, lets forget about Hispanic and Latinos and go for the easily referenced “wetbacks and bean pickers” Rolls off the tongue so well. Irish, Italian, Jewish Americans? pfft.. waaaay too long and PC. Hello Micks, Wops and Kikes. Simple and to the point, right?

          Ass.

And don’t for one second assume that just because you have some imaginary realative that it makes it ok. Next, I bet you’ll be saying you’re not a racist because “I know 3 black people” (that line always makes me titter)  It’s not ok. And it’s certainly not ok for Pols to be using. It bodes of ignorance and vile.

I would start ‘more easily refering’ to republicans as fucktards if it weren’t an insult to ‘tards everywhere.

          1. Read a representative sample of his posts.

(Nobody should have to read them all.)

Libby is just flatass scared of people from cultures outside of his mom’s basement.  No need to look for a more complicated reason.

    1. When it’s not out and out paranoid schizophrenia, it’s offensive bigotry.

Of course, America’s Irish, Jews, Japanese all had to go through similar bigoted, ignorant shit and survived. I guess it’s the Latinos’ and Muslims’ turn for the moment.

  3. If I recall correctly, Hickenlooper doesn’t own any restaurants anymore.  He had put them in a blind trust when he became Mayor, and then sold it soon after.  Not that details matter to Tommy…

His assessment of Dan Maes, however, seems very spot on 🙂

  4. He said something very similar to “That buck doesn’t stop here.”

Tommy blamed his contractor – because of course, Tommy had NO EARTHLY IDEA that the people working in HIS VERY HOME FOR DAYS ON END might, just might, be undocumented.

But that doesn’t stop Tommy for blaming Hickenlooper for the fact that a SUBSIDIARY RESTAURANT of Hick’s company happened to hire an undocumented worker to wash dishes.

It’s just a matter of fate that the scumbag who killed Donnie Young was working as a dishwasher for the Cherry Cricket rather than as a drywall installer in Tom Tancredo’s own basement.

    1. we need that great Arizona law – that way we could just stop every hispanic person we meet, ask for their papers, and if they are illegal drive them to the nearest detention center.  I’m SURE that’s what Tom would have done had Colorado had such a great law like Arizona’s.

I get so confused when Republicans (and American Constitutional Party people) want individual freedoms but only for certain things.  To me it much more an infringement of my personal freedom to have to carry my birth certificate around to prove I was born here than to fill out a one page form to register that I have a gun.

  5. If Hickenlooper was elected mayor in 2003 and sold his interest in the Cherry Cricket and Garcia-Gomez killed Donald Young in 2005 after living in the US for 10 months that puts his employment sometime in 2004 which would be after Hickenlooper was no longer involved with the Cherry Cricket.  Is that the correct time line or am I missing something?

    1. So that would mean that Gomez-Garcia would have entered the country around August of 2004.

It doesn’t look like Hickenlooper ever met Mr. Gomez-Garcia much less interviewed him for employment.  The whole “Hickenlooper is to blame for Officer Young’s” death is a pretty thin accusation.  At most he could be accused of is ownership in a blind trust that managed a portfolio of business that hired illegal immigrants.

      1. HickUNlooper to put everything into a blind trust so they could bring in the illegals (aka wetbacks, cause no one seems to be upset about the illegal Brits or Germans) and then remove our valiant police one-by-oneВЎ

        1. .

Hick’s Director of Public Safety hasn’t been fired, 16 months after Hick learned that he whitewashed a case of naked police brutality ?

Perea: “sure, it looks bad, but who ya gonna believe, me or your own lying eyes ?”

Where does that buck stop ?  Hick has to call in the FBI, because he lacks the intestinal fortitude to fire him ?

Golly, what Perea did is 10 X worse than the beatdown itself, because it reveals a contempt for actual public safety, when misconduct by police are involved.

If it isn’t the Mayor’s job to hold city exec’s accountable, if Hick is nothing but a cheerleader, OK.  You folks in Denver can live with whatever kind of lack of leadership and accountability pleases you.  But the state government actually needs a leader in the Governor’s mansion.

16 months, and even now nothing would have happened if the tape wasn’t released.

Hickenmilquetoast.  No stomach for the demands of accountability.

          .

            1. .

              Maybe Ritter will reconsider ?

He makes lots of bad decisions, but at least he can make a decision.

I like Andy Romanoff.  I hear he’s looking for work.

Dems have lots of folks to replace him with.

              .

              1. but honestly Barron, I did expect one a little less “Beejish” from you (i.e., completely avoid the question and instead posting nonsensical blather.)

                1. You offer up facts that the Tancredo email contains totally inaccurate information and he pivots onto another issue.

Hickenlooper had no involvement with the Cherry Cricket when Gomez-Garcia was employed there and his lordship just ignores the blatant dishonesty of the Tancredo email.  The attempt to portray Hickenlooper as denying responsibility when in fact he wasn’t responsible for either the hiring of Gomez-Garcia or reporting his illegal status is nothing short of a dishonest lie but the Bullshit Baron won’t even consider what a despicable email this piece of shit is.  I guess it is easy to condemn someone for something they did or didn’t do when you don’t have all the facts and don’t care what the circumstances are.

Bullshit Baron evades the real issue which is the total dishonesty his candidate.
