Two Colorado girls are about to become video stars thanks to Lady Gaga, Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell and their calls to Michael Bennet.
Lady Gaga has more people following her on Twitter than any person on the planet. This week she attended the MTV Video Music Awards with openly gay former US service members, tweeted to Harry Reid asking for movement against DADT – he responded by telling her the debate was about to begin – and then Lady Gaga tweeted again, this time asking her fans to contact their senators to voice their opposition to the policy.
The women documented their attempts to identify their senator (who turned out to be Bennet), call the capitol switchboard, and then get the neighbor guys to make calls, too. The fledgling political activists admit they’re a little ditzy – but they get the job done and show their peers how easy it is.

Bennet wasted no time in posting a video response affirming his support for DADT’s repeal.
