    Personally, I thought my comments in the Pols post declaring the existence of the penalty box warranted making me the 1st; then I have to admit that you far outstripped me; but I suppose Libertad surpassed us both.

    that old software was really buggy.

    Bugs fixed in the newest version:

    1. No off-topic thread-jacking

    2. No random pictures of frogs and shit.

    3. No endless blockquoting.

    4. Improved user interface.

    5. Coherence levels increased 400%.

      I have trained my eyes, when spotting “Li” after by: to skip to the end for the 2.0.  If it’s not there, scroll finger zips me right past whatever comes next–sometimes words, but usually a stupid, meaningless video.

      Ok, two whole days of relief.  Go for it, 2.0!

        This was an old account (“WaWie”) that had been dormant for over a year, but suddenly started posting last night. Today WaWie posted off topic responses with graphics about taxes and illegal immigration. Hmmm…..

        Anyway, both accounts are now disabled and those comments were deleted, so it appears that he got the permanent boot.

          Can we nominate other posters for the penalty box?  In fact, if that one got the permanent boot, shouldn’t a team mate have to serve out the penalty?

          I used to play goalie, and I got a 2-minute minor once for clearing the crease.  (They called it something else, but seriously, when your job is to tend the goal, you tend the goal.)  That I had to serve, but just about when it was up, I got a deserved 10 minute major, which before it was over I was ejected.  And a teammate had to serve out the remaining 9:42.

          (We won by the way – losing 1-0 late in the 1P when the storm started, we won 8-6.)

    Back when Ken Buck was still giving speeches that people could listen to, he said something about education being much better in the 50s, before the federal government got involved. Some people pointed out that schools were segregated in the 50s and it was only federal government intervention that ended it. Most Buck supporters said that wasn’t what he meant.

    Except this guy, who went on and on in post after post saying that WAS what Buck meant, that Brown v. Board of Education was a horrible decision, and that the federal government should never have desegregated the schools.

    He’s attempted to buckpedal away from that episode, but I like to punctuate all his posts with a reminder that he is, indeed, a racist.

    Except nothing could be further from the truth: the current Justices, despite widely varying views on affirmative action, all agree, and have signed onto judicial opinions reasserting, that Brown was correct.
