New Front Page Guest Editor Election This Weekend

  • by: Colorado Pols

Whenever something happens that diverges with expectations, people tend to immediately suspect the worst possible explanation. But the simple fact is, your hosts managed to completely forget this morning that an election was scheduled to replace our esteemed front page guest editor redstateblues, who announced this week that he has taken a position with a Denver municipal campaign.

Be assured that there was absolutely no anti-democratic chicanery involved, we simply forgot all about it in the ensuing few days. We do have a number of nominees for the position, though, and in order to be fair with all of our weekday readers, we’ve decided to extend the length of what will now be a weekend special election for front page guest editor. We’ll open the poll with our nominees from the previous thread, and any more that might come in today, tomorrow morning, and leave the poll open until Sunday evening at 7:00PM.

At least there will be no “hanging chads.” Happy voting (eventually)!

  1. Glad to hear it’s still a go, extending the voting period was a good idea.

Don’t forget… I intend to be the major upset this weekend. Feel free to ask me any questions (No, I won’t drop out), I’d like to feel like I have some support going into Saturday 😉

    Democracy rocks!

    1. It is more like administrative segregation (solitary) in DOC than a “penalty box.”  in the penalty box you have a trainer to talk to.

      1. I’m starting to think I had a higher readership there than here. I’m going to try to get myself back in there some time soon so I can finish my manifesto.

  2. That boy is so wrong he’s right.  I’m all about affirmative action and promoting diversity.  Plus he’s such an upstanding and longtime member of our community it would be good to have him helping to select front paged diaries (although mine might be promoted less often…).

Since reality has a well-established liberal bias, it’s only logical that a reality-based community such as ours (mostly) is would be populated with lots of libruls.

But when a smart, well-reasoned and well liked conservative shows the grit and perspective that LB does, they deserve this vaunted status.

(I also think Ellie would be a great choice, and am impressed with PCG’s recent diary…write more!).

  3. to prove just how much in bed with Easley you really are.

(On a personal note:  I had all my little sockpuppets out of bed, fed, dressed, and ready to vote at 6:55 this morning.  They’ve been completely uncontrollable ever since — Thanks.)

      1. Don’t most people dress as the opposite sex though, not a whole different animal?

I always wondered what she does when I’m not here. Dishes would be better. 🙂
