President Obama in Denver September 27th

  • by: Colorado Pols

That’s the word from Allison Sherry of the Denver paper a few minutes ago–reportedly we’ll be the third stop in a Western states swing including stops in Seattle and southern California. Not much else in the way of details yet, but we have no doubt your email inbox will be overflowing with spam from the Obama campaign shortly.

Not able to pencil this one in? We expect to be seeing a lot of President Barack Obama for the next fourteen months. Colorado, if you haven’t heard, is “flyover country” no longer.

    1. Give it a rest. If you want examples of failed presidencies, try Nixon. Serving one term as the most powerful person in the world and inspiring millions in your retirement is not my definition of “failure,” and anyone should be proud to be compared to him.

        1. He’s also a lot unlike him; for instance, he’s willing to work a lot harder at being reelected. I don’t think that casts either of the two in a bad light. They have different priorities. I expect that Obama will serve two terms and be remembered by history as the level-headed negotiator who presided, if sometimes imperfectly, over a brief period of national insanity.

    1. First off politics is a contact sport and Obama had every right to get involved. You don’t have to like it but it’s not theft.

Second, Obama is not the reason Bennet won. Bennet won because he was the incumbent, he had more money, and most important, Romanoff never found a reason to vote for him that resonated with most of the primary voters.
