Pete Cosey, former house session guitarist for Chess records during the Muddy Waters/Howlin’ Wolf days.  Played on the (unfortunate) “Electric Mud” album.  After Chess, he branched out into heavily improvisational jazz and was a fixture in Miles Davis’ touring bands.  Here he is with his own band at the Village Underground in New York in 2002.

    from another Dead Musician.

Pay attention to the guitarist in the dark jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, who solos at about 2:45.  He’s Al Anderson, a contemporary of mine (b. 1950 vs. my 1949) and homeboy from Montclair, NJ, where I grew up.  He was a kickass guitarist even way back in the day.  He played with the Marley for many years and still tours with The Original Wailers.

Thanks to my sister for the link.
