Cock-a-Doodle Coors, Anyone?

Via Lynn Bartels of the Denver paper, here’s a new ad running in the Denver market hitting GOP CD-7 candidate Joe Coors. A joint product of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees and the Service Employees International Union:

From SEIU’s release:

“Joe Coors clearly doesn’t understand that Coloradans want corporations and the richest 1% to pay their fair share toward an economy that works for everyone,” said Scott Wasserman, Executive Director of Colorado WINS. “Voters need to know that Coors’ extreme plan will only benefit billionaires and millionaires like him, not the hardworking men and women who wake up every day and keep Colorado moving forward.”

Colorado Workers for Innovative and New Solutions (Colorado WINS) Local 1876 is a joint local of AFSCME, SEIU and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT).

AFSCME’s “Rooster” and SEIU’s “Cock-a-Doodle-Doo,” a more than $500,000 ad buy, will run on broadcast and cable in the Denver media market.

If you support Obama you agree with many of these. Others are of course painful and have only gotten worse due to Obamas failure to lead. He’s the President of all of us, right?

You may recall my fervent desire to hear from you on matters you call entitlements.

Many of us have asked questions that logically demanded a response from you, but all we’ve ever gotten are the proverbial crickets.

If you think you’ve been answering questions when the overwhelming evidence is that you you haven’t, the obvious question is “Why?”

          Are you lying to yourself?

This ad is a fine piece of Democrat SOP …. produced and funded by union bosses with forced union dues no less …. “[insert GOP name], too extreme for Colorado”.

Interestingly Obama’s convention bump has evaporated. The concern here is will the Romney-Ryan effect, combined with JeffCo icon and businessman Joe Coors’ high name ID, help to topple sitting congressman Perlmutter?

This district is what +7D? I’d be interested in seeing updated polling in this race. Last I heard Coors was up by 5 or 9pts.

    Tuesday, September 18, 2012

Mitt Romney has edged slightly ahead of President Obama in the battleground state of Colorado.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Colorado finds Mitt Romney with 47% support, while Obama receives 45% of the vote.  Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are undecided.  (To see survey question wording, click here.)

If that’s not enough to move your needle, maybe this information below is …

The Rothenberg Political Report, one of the most respected handicapping outlets in the land, has downgraded Congressman Ed Perlmutter’s chances of victory, moving the race from a “Safe Democrat” seat to “Democrat favored.”

    …snip…

[the] Rothenberg is a little behind the eight ball on this race as “Democrat favored” seats don’t generally see $500,000 ad buys attacking the Republican challenger two months out, as is the case with Nancy Pelosi’s House Majority PAC attacking Joe Coors. Nor do they generally have polls showing the Republican challenger up 9 points, even if that poll was conducted by the Coors campaign.

Now we see a pile on from the union bosses … is there Democrat trouble in CD7?
