Ferrandino Wins Prestigious DLCC Board Appointment

A press release today from the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC), incoming Democratic Speaker of the Colorado House Mark Ferrandino will get a chance to show other states how the majority was won back in Colorado in resounding style this year:

Colorado House of Representatives Speaker-designee Mark Ferrandino was selected from among Democratic legislative leaders throughout the United States to join the Board of Directors of the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) during the committee’s annual meeting in Washington, DC.

“I look forward to building on the success returning the Colorado State House to a Democratic majority in 2012, and using our experience to help Democrats across the country,” said Ferrandino. “Serving on the DLCC board will enable Colorado Democrats to draw from the experience of Democratic legislative leaders from throughout the country and help us build strong campaigns in 2014.”

In 2012, Ferrandino led Democrats to net five additional seats in the Colorado House, bringing Democrats to a nine-seat strong majority over Republicans.

“Speaker Ferrandino’s energy, knowledge, and dedication will be valuable assets to Democratic candidates across the country as we fight for policies to bring quality jobs to working families and invest in our children’s education,” said Iowa Senate Majority Leader and DLCC Board Chair Mike Gronstal. “I look forward to serving with and learning from Speaker Ferrandino.”
