Amid calls from the Executive Director of the Colorado Republican Party, Hans Gullickson, for “all Republicans to immediately cease from posting on this site,” we are pleased to report that the old adage remains trueas long as they spell your name right.

  1. Congrats Co Pols. This is a great site for people who want to know all about the political workings of this state. 😀

Keep up the good work and from a Liberal Tree Hugger… all you right wing nut jobs keep posting your mindless fluff. I do get a good laugh at your misunderstanding of the issues and your being out of touch with the rest of CO.

Happy Posting and EVERYONE HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY WEEKEND!

  2. So I was thinking about why Hans would do such a foolish thing as to send out that email… I seriously doubt he had my good standing as a Republican in mind. Unlike some folks, I do say the same things in person as the Iron One says on this blog…

I wonder if he felt the need to protect someone else who posts regularly… We know GOV Bill is a big fan of this blog you know… If it’s true that the Beauprez crew has hacked in, I wonder if Bill wrote a few things he regrets.

  3. Look up “irony” in your funk and wagnals, CODEM, and stop taking all sarcastic comments literally.  A comment signed “Joe McCarthy” might have been your first clue that it was making fun of that idiot Hans by parodying him.  On the other hand, James Peabody IS a little pink around the edges…and we all know where Sir Robin’s coming from.

  4. Trilateral Commission, I love it.  Of course if I am not mistaken, Rummy (as well as George Bush the Elder) were always being knocked because they were members of the Trilateral Commission and its evil twin the Council on Foriegn relations.

  5. Speaking of first clues, Roger D, don’t you think learning that the man you want to be secretary of Defense goes by the nickname “Rummy” should have given W. food for thought?  I remember when the New York Jets had a running back named Emerson Boozer and Dandy Don Meredith sagely commented on Monday Night Football that “We all know what HIS problem is!”

  6. If anything, I’d think W either had a soft spot for someone named ‘Rummy’, or it brought back memories.  Of course, he really wanted someone named ‘J.D.’, but there wasn’t anyone who fit the “qualifications” for a high Bush Administration position.

  7. I agree with Iron Mike. I believe they are protecting the Governor because he said something on here he regrets and therefore could have a huge outcome over the next elections.

After the Colorado Republican Party decided not to take a stand against C and D and instead left it up to the Counties, why should anyone listen to them? Most of the Party leadership are supporters of the governor and beauprez anyway.

  8. Joe McCarthy would be proud Tailgunner. My father was a Sargent in WWII and my father-in-law a Captain in the air force, and spent 3 years in a German POW camp – Stalag Luft 3. I’ve met the man who designed the escape tunnel from that prison. This tunnel was featured in The Great Escape. I seriously doubt you’ve ever been a tailgunner. Pathetic.

  9. Robin, in the unlikely event you ever pull your head out of its current warm and moist resting place, look up the movie “Tail Gunner Joe.”  It was about Joe McCarthy, he adopted that sobriquet, though he didn’t earn it, claiming heroic deeds he never committed.  And what on earth do your relatives’ World War II exploits have to do with your unquestionably far-left political views?  You just get weirder with every post.

  10. Robin, Tail Gunner Joe was the name of a movie eviscerating McCarthy, in part for his claimed heroics in World War II as a tail gunner, something he in fact didn’t do. By the same token, what do your relatives’ alleged WWII experiences have to do with your own unquestionably far-left political views?
