How Conservatives Cooked a Blue Meth Party:
Interesting historical perspective in 10 slides with pictures and short captions.
So after Senator Cruz pulled his speeech stunt (not a filibuster because he was not blocking anything) he voted with the majority anyway. What a waste of time and money.
Nice link. I love when the uber wealthy get together ideologically, they can all agree that economic freedom that allows them to enjoy the fruits of their labor, and their ancestors' labor, in perpetuity, while also benefitting from the labor of others not quite so freely provided, well the world is gonna be just great. Turns out the Sharon Statement got one part exactly right – defeating the Communist threat was a good thing. Defeating health care reform seems somehow less …noble and pressing.
I sense another Presidential quote…
Great article
I like the inclusion of the DLC, signaling capitulation to the right's hegemony in defining the terms. Maybe now would be a good time for Dems to aggressively reject standing athwart history yelling "stop" and opting for charging the ramparts yelling "onward and upward". Just a suggestion.
