  1. A supporter of the Hudak recall movement has registered the name: democracy defense fund.  here is the link:  http://democracydefensefund.org

It is, of course, an ongoing attack on Hudak supporters, repeating all the boyles propaganda.  boyles has not yet connected Edie Hudak with the Kennedy assassination, but it is early in the week.

    1. I'm sure that made them feel awfully clever. Noone except true recall believers, or perhaps campaign finance nerds like myself,  will ever visit that site. And the campaign finance nerds will know better. All Democracy Defense needs is their own incorporation papers on the Secretary of State's site.

  2. Looks like the GOTP is not the pro-business party anymore. One correction to the instances cited in the following. One of the drags on the economy cited is the tax increase resulting from the end of the payroll tax break. It says it was largely supported by Rs but it's more like it was another one of those stupid lets all hold hands and sing concessions to Rs. It was the only tax break they ever wanted to end. The one that benefited middle and low income people instead of those they hilariously refer to as job creators.

For the whole list of businesses suffering due to GOTP policy and let's all hold hands and sing concessions….

  3. Guess those new Walmart ads about how great it is to work for them aren't exactly telling the whole story:

One Ohio Walmart is asking employees to donate food for other workers who are struggling so much they can't afford to buy a Thanksgiving meal for their families.

The Canton, Ohio, store is holding a food drive for employees, according to a pair of photos circulated by OUR Walmart, an advocacy organization with ties to the United Food and Commercial Workers Union. Signs attached to bins located in employee backrooms ask workers to “donate food items here so associates in need can enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.”

  4. Mesa County's sharpest minds on display at the BoCC,

“If we’re such a happy community with our trails and recreation, why are our suicide rates continuing to increase?” [Commissioner Rose] Pugliese asked [David Grossman of the Grand Valley Trails Association].

    1. Glad to see the West Slope has a back bench of such deep thinkers — we urbanites ususally only get to see that small handful your very brightest stars when they're sent over here to the legislature.
