Can you imagine the hue and cry from the left if these nonpolitical staff were anything other than helpful to constituents? There's no hypocrisy. Gardner and Coffman's professional staff are doing their jobs, plain and simple. The exchange was a bipartisan proposal. Meanwhile, Gardner and Coffman are trying to protect the public by exposing the disaster that is most of Obamacare.
Read the polls? The public gets it.

It's nice that their staff people are giving correct information. I think you miss the larger point ColPols is making here, though. Please reread the last paragraph. I do see how you would find staff doing something right as a jumping off point for criticism exasperating. It seems a bit of a stretchy way to make a point to me, too, even though I agree with the point in question.

If the congressional office staff had told callers what their bosses think about Obamacare, Colorado Pols would be screaming bloody murder. Instead, they are professionals and they are doing their jobs. That's doesn't make the views of their bosses any less valid.

Congressional office staff isn't "nonpolitical" – they're not randomly assigned.
I am happy to hear that they're rising above the political fray in directing people to the appropriate resources – too bad their bosses aren't listening to the advice they're giving or the experiences they're relating.
