Jeffco board to hear limited public comment before vote on superintendent finalist (via Chalkbeat Colorado)

The Jefferson County community will have 45 minutes to share their feelings on Dan McMinimee, the sole finalist for the open superintendent position, before the district’s Board of Education takes a final vote on the matter next Tuesday, Chalkbeat…

  1. 45 minutes for comment? Window dressing."Well, we let the public speak…we're really not sneaky, overbearing, callous political operatives  bent on implementing a conservative agenda in Jeffco schools." J/K

Stay out there on the boulevard, Jeffco parents, teachers, and students.

  2. This is a typical public comment period, where the board of whatever agency we're talking about sits there, at best looking bored, at worst not even paying attention, while people speak. Then they vote the way they've already decided, based on backroom negotiations that break the spirit if not the letter of the open meetings laws.
