    1. Why do we allow and encourage the rwwj posters to define the debate and set the tone? For all the crap directed at Udall (this cycle) for running a narrowly themed campaign, he just playing to win.

I appreciate most the posters who bring their own topics, informed and informative. I too hate that we don't get campaigns about the big ideas- world peace, the dysfunction of free markets, climate change- or even much variety of ideas. It's all healthcare, all the time, except when it's only about women's healthcare.

But we make it happen when our energy is directed at making sure the wack jobs set the tone and tenor.

    2. Consider the reliability of the source.  I too have been hearing those ads over and over again, some with the tag line, "DCCC paid for this ad."

Then there is my favorite CD 6 commercial, which I don't believe was from the DCCC, but it involves Chloe's mother talking about Coffman's endangering her daughter by opposing stem cell research which could benefit diabetes.

    3. They have given up on him.

The seat is now ranked something like the 18th most likely to flip.

The announcement is of the ads that are being run.

Are the funds to pay for them new money or money already committed that they did not yank?

          1. Yes I do, I see no evidence to the contrary. I guess you will continue to be wrong and stupid your entire life – that's what makes you such a good teabagger.

            1. The one I posted below with the diabetic child, will have the most impact I think. And then there is the new Ebola ad – features both gardner and coffman.

    1. …and your boy Dubya's name wasn't mentioned a single time at the 2012 National Convention. (I'm pretty sure Obama won't be a wallflower at the Dem's '16 convention).  Perhaps it's just a sign of the times given the rancor and violence spewed at officer holders of almost any stripe by your ilk.  For me, a 32-year member of the Republican party who finally said, "enough",  I find the accomplishments of this administration impressive, given the hand it was dealt –  Even Forbes magazine is calling him one of the best Presidents ever on economic issues, besting Reagan.

I look for POTUS to tackle the minimum wage in his last two years, even in the highly-unlikely event you take the Senate – and I predict climate change will become his other signature initiative.  Both of these are, at their core, conservative arguments,.  And I am convinced they will both be central themes for the '16 national campaigns regardless of how the mid-term plays out.

To quote Lindsay Graham, "we just aren't generating enough angry, old white men to remain a viable party."   The days of their 19th-century ideas are numbered.  "21" to be exact.

Now, off to support some GOTV efforts.  The Dem ground game is indeed impressive.

    1. Wait a minute , I was told by a very knowledgeable source ( sarcasm ) that Democrats had given up on Udall and Romanoff and withdrawn all their money. How can both of them afford new ads?

  1. Oh no!

Three weeks to Nov. 4, the House outlook remains bright for the GOP as national Democrats bail on once-promising opportunities in Virginia and Colorado, canceling television advertising to shift money to efforts to save vulnerable incumbents in Democratic-leaning states such as California and Illinois. Democrats also are transferring some of the cash to races where they stand a better chance.

    1. Or the more likely scenario…

The NRCC is still camped out in CD6, meaning they are trying to save the seat. the DCCC sees the race as going Romanoff without their help, thus they have chosen to spend their money where it can do more good. You see, when one leaves, the other tends to follow. It's more telling that the NRCC has chosen to stay.

Can't see the forest for the trees.

  2. The fiscally conservative party – hmmm  t it? The GOP is spending 2-3 times as much per ad as Democrats because of their late buys. We saw this last cycle, where the Romney campaign was spending up to FIVE times as much as Democrats because of their poor and haphazard buying habits.

So when you see big numbers bandied about, as conservatives "rush" money into this state or that one, don't get discouraged. Not only is the efficacy of television advertising at its lowest point since forever, but Republicans are spending far more than Democrats in their ad buys.

Wouldn't it be funny if Republicans actually acted in a fiscally conservative fashion?

    1. From your own link you idiotic troll the "DSCC had not reserved time for the final three weeks of the race and, as of today, is no longer on the air". How is that pulling money when it never was there to begin with?

  3. Citizens United gets injunction in 10 th circuit.

    Nice.

  4. I live in Jeffco, got my ballot and will probably turn it in tomorrow.  The top of the ballot is obviously the easy part.  I had a couple of questions, though.  Danny Stroud is running as the unaffiliated candidate in CD 1.  Wasn't there a Danny Stroud who formerly was a Repub?  What gives?  Was he kicked out for being insufficiently wacky?  My second question has to do w/ the county assessor's race where Patrick Sullivan is Libertarian candidate.  If he's the same Patrick Sullivan I'm thinking of, shouldn't he be the Libertine candidate?

      1. Sadly, there really is no public outcry about children in poverty in Colorado. There instead is widespread warped thinking that those in poverty choose to be there, and if they would just "pull themselves up by their bootstraps" (blah, blah, . . .).
