Olbermann on the First Amendment, Ferguson, and STL Police vs. STL Rams
Did I miss something? I thought the players were not punished. I agree that it was out of bounds for the police to make threats and demands but if all those demands elicited was one of those sorry if anyone took offense apologies I don't see how this rises to first amendment violation. Am I mistaken about the lack of punishment? Can't find any when I google it.
Correct – no retribution by franchisee. While local GJ failed to indict the “ham sandwich” (oink oink), the DA was effuse in his attempts to portray both Gjs (Fed) as being intertwined in “ at every step” & sharing every bit of “evidence”, I am waiting for the other shoe to drop. the STL P association attempt to SWAT at players right of free speech ( which should be an assumed right, not a standard to be risen to) shows true color of boys in blue. Their view of GJ pronouncement as vindication is not the last word.
I love this. Bet these little brats had no idea how easy it would be to get ratted out to mom:

Breaking News Texas loses its mind. Entrusted with 200 human brains(University of Texas), 100 are reported missing
By my math, this 50%, leaving a state of half wits
ROFLMAO……perhaps they're trying to find one which will fit for a transplant into the current Texas governor's head.
Implant. Transplant implies replacement of an existing unit.
If you want to know what election fraud looks like, here's the most blatant election fraud I've seen…
In Maine, State Senate District 25 was really close on election night: 11 votes gave Democrat Cathy Breen the slight edge over challenger Republican Cathy Manchester. This forced an automatic recount. Two precincts had minor discrepancies (missing ballots) that narrowed the margin slightly. But one small precinct had a major problem…
In this Long Island, ME precinct, the number of voters recorded at the polls was 171. The number of ballots counted on election night was also 171. But when that precinct's ballot box was opened, 192 ballots were present. Each of the 21 extra ballots was cast for Republican Cathy Manchester.
There's not a lot of room for election night error here, or some other innocent happening. On election night, the ballots were hand counted and then tied in bundles of 50, marked with the number of ballots in each bundle. The last partial bundle was marked '21'. When the box was opened for recount, that partial bundle contained 42 ballots – but was still marked '21'. The 21 extra ballots in the bundle were marked for Cathy Manchester – and ONLY Cathy Manchester.
The result? The State Deputy Secretary of State, who oversaw the recount, refused to issue a ruling over the obvious fraud, deferring to the State Senate. Today the Maine State Senate, under Republican control, is expected to seat Cathy Manchester by decree without investigation. This may effect the election of Maine's state offices as well.
An excellent series of articles is up on Daily Kos covering the story:

Do they fail to understand the optics of this?
Are they deliberately seeking to lose elections?
No shit, God forbid we should let the voters decide whether or not to use this money for roads, or bridges, or schools, or higher education, or . . . — democrats gotta' be concerned about optics?!?
Bak when the state was redder than it is now, voters understood that a break from TABOR to take care of roads and education was a good thing.
We were a much younger State back then . . .

health care spending grows at lowest rate ever http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/12/03/us-health-spending-grows-at-lowest-rate/19830573/?utm_source=feedblitz&utm_medium=FeedBlitzRss&utm_campaign=usatodaycomnation-topstories
but, but, but…….Obamacare is a disaster! Obamacare is socialism! Obamacare will destroy health care in our country! Death panels! Abortions! Oh the horror, the horror………..
Moddy, AC, care to comment?
Did you even bother to read the article, Frank? Spending has gone down because people are not getting the health care that they may well need. The article cites two reasons.
Because of the recession and the fact that more than 90% of the income growth since 2009 has gone to the 1%, working and middle class folks don't have the money to pay for health care.
Obamacare is responsible for the second reason, but not in a good way. Obamacare legitimized high deductibles and patient out-of-pocket caps – the standard now is over $6,300 (individual) and $12, 600 (family) per year. Given the former issue, even families that have insurance can't afford medical care.
When are Democrats going to admit that Obamacare is a neoliberal clusterfuck that only really benefits the insurance industry and the 1%?
Did you bother to read the article? Apparently not, you missed this part " Some experts attribute the slowdown in growth to "efficiencies" in health care, such as payment reforms and the growing number of accountable care organizations, which are formed when doctors and hospitals partner to treat groups of patients. " Your third paragraph is nothing more than your faulty opinion – nothing factual.
When will people like you admit that Obamacare has helped millions of Americans obtain medical care that they would not have previously had?
Where do I start? I did read the article. The second paragraph reads:
These are the second and fourth paragraphs of the article and rely upon an identified CMS statistician. You quote from "some experts" does not identify the source and is merely some sop added at the end of the article to placate all sides.
My third paragraph is completely factual. I have made the point in greater detail here, here and here. I don't have time to repeat myself.
When will people like you admit that Obamacare merely forced millions of Americans to obtain medical insurance that they would not have previously had. Medical insurance is not healthcare.
ummm…. I'm pretty sure we all know it was about getting more people insurance coverage, including those with preexisting conditions, so you won't exactly need to waterboard us to get us "admit" anything. BTW, there actually is a connection between coverage and access to healthcare. Just sayin'.
BC – I was simply parroting Frank's last condescending paragraph for rhetorical effect.
So what's your point? I mean as opposed to creating effects?
