    1. Zombie Lies: Untruths which refuse to die.

And the data says that if Republicans focus on economic issues and stay away from social ones like gay marriage, they can make serious inroads with millennials.

      1. They can as long as cowardly Dem pols refuse to call them on any of this for fear of looking too pinko or rich hating or not freedom loving enough or whatever which is exactly what Dems have been doing since the Reagan era. How else explain that the general public continues to believe that Rs are better on economic issues, even those who vote with Dems on the social issues, when clearly by all objective measures (including but certainly not limited to the ones illustrated in your post) Rs suck every bit as much on economic issues as they do on everything else?

    2. I'm checking in late today. I had this put aside to post this morning, too, but other stuff happened first. This makes me happy. But, shh! Don't tell the Rupubs and hope they don't figure it out.

  1. Encouraging trend for grownups by which I mean people who don't insist on ancient myths and legends dreamed up by ordinary humans as literal truth which must be imposed on all for their own good:

Don't expect any official "Atheists for Hillary" outreach, but political progressives are cheered by a study showing a rise in the number of nonreligious Americans.

It's not because top Democrats are irreligious; both President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are persons of faith. But liberals welcomed the findings of the 2014 Religious Landscape Study, released last week by the Pew Research Center, which showed a country growing less religious. Republicans consistently do well among voters with strong religious beliefs, and Democrats score better with voters who don't express religious views.

The huge study — a 35,000-person sample — reveals that over the past seven years, there has been a 10 percent decline in self-identified Christians, though they still are more than 70 percent of the population. At the same time, the religiously nonaffiliated, or "nones," have increased by about one-third and now account for about 23 percent of American adults.  This trend could have political implications. In the last presidential election, Mitt Romney easily won among Christian voters, and Obama carried 70 percent of the unaffiliated. This divide was even more apparent in the 2014 congressional elections.

  2. Another Bristol Palin Walk Down the Aisle Cancelled

Sadly, Caribou Barbie announced today that her daughter, Bristol, has called off her wedding to Dakota Meyers. Counting the two aborted attempts at marriage to Levi Johnston during and after the 2008 presidential campaign, this makes the third time Bristol has been unable to tie the knot.

Do you think legalization of gay marriage is to blame?

  3. White on White Crime Wave in Waco.

Factors blamed for the deadly shootout:  single mothers of some of the pale gang members, the clothes that they wore (haute biker fashion), the music they listen to (country & western is obviously depraved, with its obsessions with cheating and drinking), and their religious preferences (Christianity must be an inherently violent religion)…..said no commentator ever…

Heavily armed open carry enthusiasts, some of whom identified with skinhead gangs, were responsible for 100 weapons being fired in the parking lot at once.

So far, the right wing spin machine has been pretty silent…….white on white crime, particularly that committed by second amendment proponents, is not something they wish to discuss right now…or ever. In fact, they'd rather spin it as "Race Activists try to Exploit WACO shooting"

To date, no one is calling the perpetrators "thugs", nor assembling paramilitary forces to suppress them, nor are they commenting on the inherent moral failings of "white culture"…..why not?
