Who Will Be the Next Candidate to Exit the GOP Clown Car?

  • by: Colorado Pols

votebuttonIt has been exactly one month — to the day — since we last asked you this question: Who will be the next Republican Presidential candidate to drop out of the 2016 race?

We didn’t include Jim Gilmore in our last poll, and we won’t include him here. We’re too lazy to figure out if the former Virginia Governor is still running or not.

Cast your vote after the jump, and remember our polling etiquette here at Colorado Pols: We don’t want to know what you want to happen, but what you think will happen next…

    1. I think the Santorum campaign – like Graham, Pataki and Jindal – can operate on fumes for a while. Huck and Governor Donuts will need to reassess. But I still think Rand is next to exit. His comments when he was forced to make that idiotic video demonstrates he's about over the whole thing. He is not the happy warrior. And if there is any risk to his re-election to the Senate, he will bolt for the exit.

    1. So Moddy, the business about Rubio using the GOP credit card when he was state House speaker  to pay for his hairy back waxes won't present a problem?

    2. Hey buddy, about your Rubio crush — if you find yourself still in that same condition four hours from now, you really are supposed to call a doctor …

      1. Pitty poor Moddy.  When his only hope out of more than a dozen choices is just a floating turd, you know he and his party are up shit creek without a paddle.

  1. Last time I said Rand Paul would be dropping out; on second thought, he will probably try to tough it out until March 2016,when he will be able to simultaneously run for President in the caucus, and for Senate the following May.

His campaign paid for the caucus costs, so he'll probably stick with it until then.

I think that either Bobby Jindal or Lindsay Graham will drop out next.

  2. I voted Ben Carson because I think there's a chance he'll say screw it, I don't need this, I"m outta here. I mean, we're seriously at a point where Carson WANTS us to believe that he nearly eviscerated a friend and beat his mom's brains out with a hammer.

  3. The way I see it, the candidates fall into two categories; those who really want to be President, and those who have one particular message to preach and running a campaign gives them a microphone.I think Huck-a-who goes next because he's got the same message as at least three of the other guys.

  4. None of them are going to leave on their own. Stepping down would mean giving in to what the ESTABLISHMENT GOP wants. If you are a REAL CONSERVATIVE presidential candidate you will fight tooth and nail with every last Breitbart-fueled, Beck-sourced, Limbaugh-ish rant you can! BENGHAZI!!!!!

  5. Graham. He's the only one losing something he already has with the establishment GOP: a modicum of stature. Most of the rest are vanity campaigns sputtering along from debate to debate.
