      1. I watched just enough of the debate to get the feeling Teh Donalds tolerance level as a participant in the political equivalent of the Miss (Teen) USA Pageant is bottoming out.

        1. Yep, I expect The Donald will find some excuse to pick up his marbles (those that he can find anyway) and go home.  Probably something like "I'm pleased that millions of Americans agree with me that I've raised the issues I think most important in this election, so I'm off to make more billions!"

      2. Forgive for reposting but I posted this late last night and it's more relevant here:

Apparently Trump and Carson are enough to get the grownups in the GOP seriously worrying about a possible HRC stumble should one of them actually get the nomination. They can't stand Cruz either.

The apprehension among some party elites goes beyond electability, according to one Republican strategist who spoke on the condition of anonymity to talk candidly about the worries.

“We’re potentially careening down this road of nominating somebody who frankly isn’t fit to be president in terms of the basic ability and temperament to do the job,” this strategist said. “It’s not just that it could be somebody Hillary could destroy electorally, but what if Hillary hits a banana peel and this person becomes president?”

Don’t tell Dio’s good friend moderatus

        1. You beat me to it, B.C. I had this link copied to paste here, It looks like the Republicans have created a monster and it's bearing down on them. They may be screwed for next year, but I wonder if they're starting to think about who to eject from their Big Tent?

          1. The bit about Romney is in the article. I still think the best part is GOP elites being terrified that something could happen to make HRC lose if the alternative is Trump or Carson, a possibility they're finally having to take seriously! surprise Bet they've got their people furiously looking for horrible things to leak about them as we type.

            1. And in the GOP Food Chain, after Donald Trump and Dr Carson is Rafael Cruz for whom Bob Dole launched a pre-emptive strike yesterday. No wonder Romney '16 is starting to look good……

    1. They absolutely do. They've been proud enough to bust their buttons that the Cheneys are Wyoming residents for decades. Their chickens are coming home just like the greater Republican Party's

  1. Sad, that even a slam dunk, no brainer, in your face, Big Guys vs. Little Guys, Foreign Owned issue like this isn't enough to get Michael Bennet to sign his name to:

Nov. 13 – Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) led a letter today with 33 of his colleagues calling on the company that employs Senate cafeteria and catering workers to respect their right to organize.

“Employees working full time in the U.S. Senate should not be living in poverty,” the senators wrote in the letter to Compass Group CEO Richard Cousins. “Yet with the cost of living in the Washington metropolitan area among the highest in the United States, there have been numerous reports of Senate cafeteria workers forced to take a second job, rely on public assistance programs, and in at least one instance, into homelessness.”

The workers are currently pushing for a union through the majority sign up process, but Restaurant Associates, a subsidiary of the Compass Group that employs Senate dining and catering workers, has resisted the drive, even after the National Labor Relations Board upheld charges against the company regarding discriminatory and intimidating behavior.

“Although Restaurant Associates settled these charges by promising to end further unlawful intimidation, it has been reported that within weeks, Restaurant Associates’ President Ed Sirhal took advantage of the Senate recess to hold a meeting with workers to discourage their organizing campaign,” the senators wrote. “The time has come for the Compass Group to ensure Senate cafeteria workers have a model employer that addresses its workers’ legitimate concerns.”

Oh wait, they say they want union representation. Something Coloradans should know a little something about. But Bennet won't go there – he might be called a "liberal".

Here are his fellow cowards on this issue:

All but 12 members of the Senate Democratic Caucus signed on to the letter. Here are those 12:

    Michael Bennet (D-COward)

    Joe Donnelly (D-INept)

    Dianne Feinstein (D-CAtatonic)

    Heidi Heitkamp (D-moribuND)

    Tim Kaine (D-VApid)

    Angus King (I-MEwling)

    Joe Manchin (D-ThirdWayVulture)

    Claire McCaskill (D-nomMO)

    Bill Nelson (D-FLake)

    Jon Tester (D-MonumentToweakness)

    Tom Udall (D-'NotherMark?)

    Mark Warner (D-VAcuous)

Idiots all…….and you have to wonder how unions (and workers) would be doing if Democrats could find a way to support them on simple issues like this.
