    1. Fair and balanced? It's not even a news network.

“I think it’s just automatic now. When a high-profile Republican gets into trouble, Fox News steps in to mislead their sheep viewers by labeling them as Democrats.

Here’s a short list of Fox’s chyron hackery:

      John McCain – Democrat

      Joe Lieberman – Democrat

Arlen Spector – Democrat (when he was still a Republican!)

      Mark Foley – Democrat

Media Matters also caught Fox listing a Democratic strategist as Bush’s head of FEMA — because his name happened to be Michael Brown. Oh, and we can’t forget the time they announced Rep. William Jefferson’s indictment using footage of Congressman John Conyers. They apologized to their audience, but never to Conyers personally.

I’m sure it was just an oversight, just like all the rest…riiiight. Have I missed any?”

        1. I'm with the parental unit this evening – that always comes with a full serving of FauxNews.  So, I'm doomed to listening to an hour of Nancy Grace (net worth $18mm) screech about South Africa trying to take away Chris Rock's child (net worth $75mm) – a baby he and his wife took from SA seven years ago. 1) why that woman has a tv show is beyond me. 2) I'm pretty sure that Chris Rock can hire enough attorneys to figure this out. 3) during the hour I was subjected to the screech – 900 people worldwide died from hunger-related causes.

Honest-to-God, my head is going to explode.

  1. If the violent rhetoric suggestive words don't matter why do advertisers request that radio hosts like Medved, Savage/Weiner, Levin, Hannity, Limbaugh, Boyles, Randall, and Crank et al. read their spots rather than playing a recording of the ad?

  2. Planned Parenthood : if laws were broken, where are the indictmentsame and prosecutions?

Benghazi: if laws were broken, where. ..

    Emails : if laws…

    Etc and so on.

Shooter arrested at the scene of the shooting: we don't know his motive, but we should murder him after his trial,

  3. More reason to panic or applaud the amazing progress of immigrants in modern society (well, if Idaho qualifies as "modern"):

When the ballots were counted in the Nov. 3 elections, few took note of a modest victory for Latinos in the town of Wilder, Idaho. The small, heavily immigrant farming community near the Oregon border elected its first entirely Hispanic city council.

As national political groups and aspiring presidential candidates boost their efforts to cultivate America's growing Latino vote, the Latino sweep of top elected positions in the 1,500-resident town of Wilder symbolizes smaller, but perhaps more fundamental changes as the Hispanic population reshapes U.S. demographics.

Prior to the 2015 fall election, two of the four city council members were Hispanic. Outgoing mayor John Bechtel, who has served several terms as mayor and as a city councilman since 1974, declined to seek re-election. Alicia Almazan, who the Idaho Press says will become the town’s first woman mayor, didn't return calls requesting comment.

Councilwoman Tila Godina, a Democrat, said she first took an interest in local politics a decade ago, when the city notified her that her irrigation rates would rise. She said many in local government weren’t attuned to the need to provide public information in Spanish and to hire Spanish-speaking local government staff members to communicate with recent migrants.

    1. As a once every few years visitor to Idaho, my husband being from there, I can attest that, while it has many natural charms and beauties, from a social perspective it's mainly like taking a time machine back to the late fifties/early sixties. Love my husbands family, especially the oldest ones, and they even love me, benighted liberal Jew that I am, but we do NOT talk politics, religion, economics or ecology.  Ever. At all. Period.

Fortunately they have plenty of wonderful, colorful family stories to tell from the old days in tiny mountain towns and such so it's easy but here's to those changing demos! May they drag the rest, kicking and screaming, into the 21st century. Or at least the later 20th.

  4. Debunking KNUS lies — one at a time………..they were repeated numerous times Sunday night on Backbone radio and probably one of Ted Cruz's "sources" for his information:

Conservatives have been bristling for several days with the possibility that Robert Lewis Dear, the alleged Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood shooter, may be transgender because his voter registration identified him as female. Even Ted Cruz floated the idea at a campaign stop on Sunday. On Monday, the El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office confirmed there had been a clerical error.

Ryan Parsell, El Paso County’s chief deputy clerk and recorder, told the Colorado Springs Gazette that his office was responsible for the mistake, calling it a data entry error. When he received a driver’s license with the same error, Dear went to a different Department of Motor Vehicles office to request a corrected license, which he received.

Yeah, my tv is busted, but listening to these freaks repeat lies and hallucinations to each other for several hours is way too much for even me.

        1. So then, liberals, this whole thing is starting to look like the government's fault …

(Asswipe Moderatus would have said that if I hadn't.  Some other Cruzian asswipe probably will.)

  5. Rahm throws his head cop under the bus. Now the guy deserves to be thrown under the bus but no more so than Rahm himself who claims he did it because McCarthy was "becoming a distraction". More likely Rahm is desperately looking for a distraction from the all too obvious reality that he's a despicable self serving SOB who doesn't give a rat's ass about anybody in Chicago who can't afford to rub elbows along Chicago's Magnificent Mile.

    1. My thoughts exactly.  When I  read about that this morning, my first thought was that Emannuel's Chicago-style burnt offering looked like something straight out of "The Wire"!  Rahm is as ruthless a bastard as there is.  No one with a lick of sense should ever turn their back on him.  Rahm will gut a friend faster than Ben Carson …
