UPDATE: Washington Post now reporting Donald Trump will not attend the Colorado GOP state convention this weekend. A rally in Colorado Springs also cancelled.
—–
That’s the word from CBS4; we know how many of our readers will be terribly disappointed at the news:
Denver police say a tentative appearance by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in Denver this Friday has been called off…
Previously, numerous Denver officers had been told their days off Friday were being canceled in anticipation of the GOP candidate making a stop in Denver. No reasons have been given for the change in plans.
Any number of possible reasons for this cancellation, of course, but we can’t help but keep in mind Donald Trump’s punishing loss to Ted Cruz last night in Wisconsin as a possible reason for Trump to pull back on public events. No word yet on whether this will affect Trump’s expected appearance at the Republican state convention in Colorado Springs Saturday, but we’ll update when we hear.
On the upside, if you were figuring on getting beaten up at Trump’s rally, you now have better things to do.

Expect Drumpf™ to spend all his time in the Northeast during the next 2 weeks.
That's not going to net him uncommitted delegates…
Which, by the way, is what the media is now saying that Trump needs to focus on post-Wisconsin. Absent an unbroken string of major routs, Trump can now get to 1237 only by fighting for every delegate.
Colorado is Cruz Country !!!!
(Laugh out loud funniest thing our GOPnuts happened to themselves here since Dan Maes.)
T-Rump is saving his money to buy the necessary unbound delegates for the first round. I am still wondering what legal risk attaches to an unbound delegate who votes for T-Rump in exchange for virtually anything. The RNC is a private gathering which is significantly different than an elected official taking a bribe. Note that a bound delegate would be unseated if he/she tried to vote for other than his pledged choice for at least the first round, but not thereafter.
Everyone has been noting how the nomination process is not a "democratic" endeavor. Well, buying delegates is just taking that to its logical conclusion.
Why would Trump bother with Colorado? He doesn't need a weekend at the Broadmoor Resort and Denver is bit far from Telluride where his private jet might miss the cliffhanger runway, Ah, no loss for us in Colorado.
