  1. I hear that the Hefley Hoedown was a huge success on Saturday with 300 people there despite the rain.  That has got to be great news for Crank.

  2. If Herb Rubenstein has any support from voters, I haven’t seen much in published reports of the funds that he has raised in support of his campaign.  I figure, until the community decides to place their money on his campaign, the barometer of that run is not supported by community members.  Herb still sits at 10,000 to 1 odds.

  3. Do you think the rain on Crank’s parade was an accident? Or do you think a certain divine conservative legislator was able to wash out Crank’s campaign hopes?

  4. I cannot believe people cannot see through Crank. How can someone never holding elected office be egotistical enough to run for National Level office? How can people swallow is rear-end kissing self being shoved down our throats by the current incumbent. Give me a break, think for your selves people! There are way too many sheep the 5th. There are many other candidates who would offer far more as Representative to the 5th. Why not allow some fresh new blood in a stagnant seat rather that the anointed one who claims far outreach his experience.

  5. I seem to remember someone else who never held political office and ran for Governor of one of the largest states in America.  Hmmm, then he ran for President and won that and has gone down in history as one of the best presidents this country has ever had.  I think his name was Ronald Reagan.

You seem angry, Seeing through it.  Calm down and see the truth.  Rivera is a crook, Lamborn is an idiot, Anderson is another idiot and a confused moderate to boot, Bremer is a little psychotic and Rayburn is so unknown that my grandma has a better chance in this race.  Crank is experienced, truly conservative and passionate about fighting for what he believes.

Speaking of fresh blood, remember your comments when you go out stumping for Billary!  I believe that ‘ol Slick Willy will be standing on our shoulders as he crams his communist wife down our throats in ’08 and I have a hunch you’ll be right there helping him shove!

  6. I’m a Crank supporter… and as a Lamborn staffer you should be doing some real work. Um, seriously – don’t you have ANYTHING better to be doing? LOL, pretty funny stuff though. You know – it will be a close race but when Crank wins in August it’s important that everyone get behind him. We’re all Republicans. Let’s quit the infighting and get some work done. Whew. K… that’s my soapbox for today.

  7. “I’m a Crank supporter…”

Shouldn’t you be at a PETA rally or something? Crank’s Jane Fonda-like politics don’t play well in Lamborn country. Perhaps Crank should get together with his liberal buddies, move to Taxachusetts, and give his money to welfare babies.

    Lamborn believes in America.

  8. Herb Rubenstein is making this a race. His commercials were all over cable this weekend and I saw them on the Channel 2 News this morning. The spot is riveting. Herb is talking about serious issues. This has clearly become a three way race.

  9. Riiiiggghhhttt-

Is that the pot calling the kettle black or what.

R2- Experience? My rear end. There are staffers up the whazoo. Crank was a staffer who is riding coat tails. He disgusts me, you are right I am angry at how stupid people can be to fall for his BS.

  10. It looks like Mayor Taxenlooper has found yet another tax increase that he wants to support. “Oh, but we have to do it for the children.”  I’m waiting for the day that this man finds a tax increase that he doesn’t like (tax on restaurant owners who employ illegal aliens perhaps).

  11. Experience and people skills are what will win the day for Crank. They will also enable Jeff to hit the ground running in DC, and represent the 5th in a very capable way. Switch to decafe if your anger is getting the best of you.

  12. There were 150 at the most at the Hefley Howdown.  The fact that his campaign is blogging first thing Monday morning and blowing up the numbers is a clear sign it was bust and they are overcompensating.  It wasn’t the rain that crashed that party, it was the campaign.  It’s a sign that just because you were with Hefley over the years (500 people used to show) you aren’t with Crank.  Experience counts…Jeff might learn that the hard way…since his experience is as a lobbyist.

  13. Most party insiders and loyalists will vote for whoever the candidate is in the general, but Jay Fawcett’s message is going to appeal to many moderate republicans, especially veterans.  I am sure that Fawcett is hoping to face Crank.  Did you see the way he tore into Jeff at the El Pomar Candidate Forum.  Jeff Crank is the only guy that he can use that kind of ammo against.
However, I don’t think that Crank will finish #1 or #2 in the primary, so it’s really a pointless discussion.
As far as Crank’s supporters, they are mainly comprised of politically-minded republicans, and he really has no more of them than any of the other major candidates in the race.  Where he is going to have a big problem is getting the average person’s vote.  No one outside of the local political clubs has ever heard of him.
I would like to know his stance on Ft. Carson’s proposed expansion of the Pinon Canyon Training Area.  None of the candidates have addressed that issue yet.

  14. Ed Perlmutter has sent out a mailer pointing out that Peggy Lamm supported Bill Owens, voted with the NRA and had serious ethics violations as a lobbyist. Everything was footnoted.
Ed has a great team working for him. When people learn about Peggy’s record they will vote for Ed.

  15. Peggy Lamm is a crook, I always knew it. Why, please answer, why would I vote for a lobbyist when I feel that lobbyists have become the problem with our government. Would you have voted for Abraham Jack me off, or sorry, Jack Abramoff before he was the convicted felon? Let’s stop a corrupt Democratic Party before it starts! Peggy is a criminal, we know this, we’ve seen this from her before!
