Coffman argues against Penry's stand...

  • by: Ellie

There are a number of things wrong with Penry’s position on Pinyon Canyon and Coffman’s oped piece is one of them.  Penry, HB 1317 shortchange America’s troops | Colorado Statesman.

Has anyone at ColoradoPols actually read HB-1317?  It might be worth your time.  It doesn’t really say or do what Penry claims.

  1. At least twice I’ve seen diaries promoted that had nothing more than a YouTube video embedded.

But yeah, unless one is well-versed on the issue, one really won’t understand at all what you’re referring to here. Suppose I follow Colorado politics but don’t know everything Penry writes, Coffman writes, or the text of every bill.

I might quite easily consider myself well-informed, then encounter your diary, and get unappeasably pissed off. Hence the backup plan of putting links down for everything you’ve seen. Plus liberal quoting of all those things, for the people who consider themselves well-informed and curious as well, but won’t actually click the links. Blockquoting makes us feel like we know everything about the issue.

Also, being anywhere to the left of Bill Owens or to the right of Ken Salazar, along with being relatively new and unrecognized, will result in getting a lot of shit from the regulars. So fuck you! (Kidding, I don’t really mean all these nasty things, I’m actually a very nice person for about 14 more hours.)

  2. Have you read 1317?

Do you know Penry and Coffman don’t agree on this issue?

What does Penry claim 1317 does?

He voted for 1317 and HB07-1069, so….what’s your beef?
