The newspaper of record makes Jared Polis look like Bernie Sanders.
who won the Colorado primary.
No, he didn't. Not even Bernie Sanders could win the ,Colorado primary in a year when Colorado didn 't have a primary. He just packed the Caucuses.
but RandR is right. The Times makes Jared look a lot more left than his actual record. The Convention, a liberal lot, went heavily for Cary.
Now, we'll see if $11 million can buy a nomination.
Our family sent four vot es to Cary. but i f Jared wins , obviously I'll vote for him.
It was great to see Colorado, home of Amendment 2, get its shine with a gay candidate. I think one of the things many journalist miss when writing about Jared is his incredible capacity for empathy. Growing up as a gay man he understands societal shaming whether it’s from ones your sexual orientation, skin color or economic plight. I believe it was the incredible injustices of our Drug War that propelled him to take his very progressive position of supporting Amendment 64 when practically every politician in the state was against the measure.
If there’s anything this country needs right now is empathetic leadership and CO Dems have an embarrassment of riches in that department. His wealth aside, it’s what separates him from the pack of many-a-white man in the opposition party.
As a woman and a mother, Cary no doubt holds that capacity as well; I’ve seen Mike Johnson in a very tender moment with a child. The future of CO for the next eight years will be in good hands regardless of the outcome of Tuesday.
