Eight o'clock and Trump stinks.
Great God Almighty,
Trump stinks!
Can one of you experts point me to information that describes the differences/similarities between Colorado's and Oregon's vote by mail systems?
Thanks,
Your best bet with a question like that is to look through scholarly articles. I think you'd get better results if you were interested in a particular difference, say ballot deadlines or something like that.
Go Dems and Unaffiliateds!
Considered on their own, rather than together, the Democratic affiliated and unaffiliated voters are turning in ballots more slowly than Republicans.
Since yesterday's report
Dem: 50,148
Rep: 50,322
Uaf: 46,905
It is only a difference of some 174 ballots between Democrats and Republicans, not significant, but the unaffiliated voters turned in 3,417 fewer. However, this represents a slight increase in the unaffiliated share of the ballots turned. They now stand at 29.47% of the total ballots up from 29.16% yesterday. I expect the number of unaffiliated ballots to increase to election day.
I agree — more ballots will come in and be counted before election day
But as the experts explain:
There is a line for APV on the secretary of state's Ballots Received to Date pdf. Only 28 ballots turned in by them. What the heck is that? The American Populist Party seems possible, but not quite the same three letters. I have not been able to find information about what are the official minor parties of Colorado. Whoever they are they are they are tiny, tiny compared to even the Unity party.
I think APV is Animal Protection Voters.
my avatar on pols, Oscar the Platypus, is a long time member.
The Approval Voting Party.
That would be AVP, not the APV Denependent reported.
. Or did Williams just screw up again?
Do you mean just like the American Constitution Party is abbreviated ACN?
These are the parties you can pick from in Colorado. Please point out the Animal Protection Voters.
Well, cn could be used for constitution. But please show me on your list where anything has the initials APV. Ain't there.
Jesus Christ. The abbreviations don't have to match your preference, they just have to make sense to the folks in the SOS. Even when you're obviously wrong, you can't just eat it, can you?
OK, Super Genius, here is the HTML code from the SOS site for changing your affiliation, which I took a picture of above. This is the code for the drop-down box. Each option, unsurprisingly, is a choice from that box. It includes the displayed value (between the opening and closing <option> tags and the value that will be passed into their database to indicate the option chosen "VALUE=" I'll let you do the rest. Hint, you might want to join the APproval Voting party.
<select id="editVoterForm:partyAffiliationId" name="editVoterForm:partyAffiliationId" class="w3-select w3-border w3-round" size="1" onchange="mojarra.ab(this,event,'valueChange','@this','editVoterForm:partyPreferenceParent')"> <option value=""></option>
<option value="ACN">American Constitution</option>
<option value="APV">Approval Voting</option>
<option value="DEM">Democratic</option>
<option value="GRN">Green</option>
<option value="LBR">Libertarian</option>
<option value="REP">Republican</option>
<option value="UNI">Unity</option>
<option value=""> ——– </option>
<option value="UAF" selected="selected">Unaffiliated</option>
</select>
You're really taking your nasty pills today, aren't you, Sudafed? It's not a question of whether the abbreviations "match my preference"
But whether they reflect the party. Maybe their dyslexic heart got AVP as APV or maybe AP is abbreviation for approval. In any case, you have all the charm and graciousness of a buffalo fart.
Or would you prefer “BFT?”
Yeah, I thought you would😈
