totally heartless. Not surprising though. Not a word about “human dignity” or anything of that sort…
JTB I think you got the spelling wrong on who the author of that quote is. It’s by Bennet but the one with one T in his name not the other Republican who just lost.
That quote is from Colorado’s own Senator Bennet and is positioned right at the top of his handout on immigration. But you are right that it sounds like it is from a Republican. What would you expect from a guy who was Phil Anschutz errand boy and then the wrecker in-chief at DPS? At least he’s consistent. For Anschutz he rams a deal through that forces a public company to take a loan out to pay a cash dividend to Anschutz and himself that caused the Louisiana Teachers Pension to file suit over the screwing they took. For DPS, he systematically closed schools with the highest minority enrollment and pushed under-performing kids out so he could claim he didn’t have as many who under-performed. Why would it surprise anybody that he views immigrants as tools to make his buddies more money?
