You're Not Paranoid if They're Really Out to Get You

From the “WTF Department,” we call your attention to Republican Kathleen Conti, who is challenging incumbent Democrat Joe Rice in HD-38. We don’t have any idea about the back story to this rather odd page on her campaign website, so we’ll just let you see for yourself:

There have been many false implications about my positions on a recent phone survey. At this time we are trying to get the complete list to answer them all…

…I have also been told that I am reported to be “Paranoid” about Al-Queda training camps that exist here in Colorado, and that I want to allocate more state money to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to fight against these camps.

The Truth is:

I am not paranoid, and have not advocated that any more money be allocated to CBI for anything.

Terrorism experts however, tell us that in addition to drugs, and honest people that are just looking for work, thousands of Terrorist training camp leaders have been smuggled in across our Southern U.S. Border with Mexico, in the last few years; usually at a hefty fee per head. These fees are paid to the drug cartels.

Colorado with it’s vast open spaces and many wooded areas, makes a friendly environment for any type of Camp, even Terrorist Training camps.  If these unlawful camps exist, and again we are told that they do, because of the threat to the public safety that they present, I have said that they should be on the top of Home Land Security, and CBI’s priorities. [Pols emphasis]

As We become aware of any other False representations about my positions we will also address them.

Thanks for your patience in this situation.

Kathleen

To recap, apparently Conti is not at all paranoid about “Al Queda” (sic), but Colorado is a good place for terrorist training camps, and she has been told that these camps do exist in our state. Or perhaps they don’t. Either way, she’s definitely not paranoid about it. What the Colorado Bureau of Investigation — which, of course, is really not like the FBI even though they sound the same — has to do with this, we’re not clear.

At least, that’s what we think she’s saying here. We’re having a hard time following along, frankly.

  1. this is why the GOP is not going to crush the D’s in the fall.

Joe is a tough candidate, conservative enough, but good at explaining to progressives why he is voting against them.  However, it is a plus 12 GOP district.

So what does the GOP do, do they put up a pragmatist, talking about jobs?  No, “Al Queda” (never met the man) camps in Colorado.

  2. Stephen Emerson’s IPT, which the government has been known to reference, has no mention of camps.

I think that she’s making it up and coupling it with anti-immigration sentiment.

AS mentioned before, the cartels tend to support US cooperation where possible and would support conservative candidates.

They have self interest in politicians that are for prohibition to keep protis high;politicains that are for encarcerating high numbers as prisons are the recruiting ground for soldiers and distribution, and politicians against free flow of immigration.

  3. I should probably report her to the Department of Homeland Security. She says she means the non-terrorist-training type of camp, but that’s exactly what a terrorist would say.

  4. and I’m happy to report I didn’t see one terrorist camp. And this area would be perfect terrorist camp territory, canyon like topography just like the bad guys used to hide in the Lone Ranger TV show.

In a couple of weeks I’m backpacking to the Conundrum hot springs in the Maroon Bells Wilderness and I’ll sure be on the lookout for terrorists. Truth be told, I hope I don’t run into any because there are usually naked women hanging out at the hot springs, and I sure as hell don’t want any pesky terrorists interfering with some quality time at the springs.

  5. thousands of Terrorist training camp leaders have been smuggled in across our Southern U.S. Border with Mexico

If Terrorists (with a capital T) are so good a smuggling “thousands” into the US how come they can’t blow up something? Anything.

    She is a nutjob.

    1. Biding their time, keeping their powder dry.

Rumor has it they will have thousands of suicide bombers present at The Rapture just to take out the best of the Southern Baptists.

  6. to look for the terrorist training camps. Of course, the black helicopters are busy rounding up U.S. citizens who don’t comply with United Nations mandates, so they’re probably not available for terrorist surveillance duty.

  7. Ditto anyone who capitalizes “We” in the middle of a sentence, who refers to Al “Queda,” and who writes of “Home Land” Security.

She is clearly as ignorant as she is… well, ignorant.
