Maybe the fervor of the primaries this week distracted folks but just thought I’d share this great hit on Cory Gardner in CD-04. He apparently claimed that if an industry receives subsidies, it probably is not a successful industry. Ironically, Gardner touts himself as an agriculture man, and his family runs a farm equipment dealership. Essentially, Gardner just dissed most of his constituency and a bulk of the constituency in CD-04.

It’s true, of course, of every industry. Many of my farmer friends love to rail against big government, but somehow, it doesn’t stop them from cashing their subsidy checks. The Freedom to Farm Act, now of fond memory, was supposed to phase out such subsidies. It never happened.
My Great Grandfather and Cory’s Great Grandfather started that Case International dealership in Yuma, Colorado in the early 1900’s. My Great Grandfather has not been around for a while but my Grandpa may be the only Democrat in Yuma. Not quite but one a few. As my Grandpa taught me at young age “Your a Republican and I am a Democrat but we can still be friends. I will hug you elephant and you can kiss my ass.”
in Phillips County. I once explained to him that as a Denver Republican, I was often to the left of Phillips County Democrats.
