Democrat Joe Biden’s Presidential campaign is reportedly working to narrow his list of prospective running mates, so we thought it would be a good time to ask Colorado Pols readers to predict the future.
As always, we want to know what you think will happen here — not what you want to happen or who you personally might support. If you had to place a bet — right now — on who will be selected to be Biden’s running mate, where would you put your money?
*Note: Biden has already promised to choose a woman as the Democratic Vice Presidential nominee.

I still believe Elizabeth Warren with all her Plans, is the best complement to Biden's kindly-but-bumbling persona.
Rachel Bitecofer suggests that choosing Stacey Abrams will benefit black turnout, especially in Georgia which has two Senate seats in the Lean Republican category, and another Lean-R in neighboring South Carolina. That is a good prospect, although I don't think her name recognition does much for the Biden team elsewhere.
Kamala Harris for AG, maybe. I don't think she has the Black vote in her pocket, At least she didn't get any in the primary.
If Stacey Abrams can deliver a Senate seat or two, then Elizabeth Warren would make a terrific Senate Majority Leader

Let Chuck share power with her. She would be awesome in a position of power in the senate. VP seems like a waste of her talent when she could be kicking Repub butt in the Senate. She could be as hard as Mitch but with principles. You want someone in the VP slot who is going to be the favorite to be the Democratic nominee in 2024 if Joe serves one term.
Where do you think Schumer is going?
And what skills does Warren bring to the main role of "herding cats" into a coherent, consistent bloc? Majority leader is not the main source of legislative ideas — the role is to maintain support and represent the WHOLE caucus in negotiations.
Good points John. Not sure McConnell gets the whole negotiations strategy but do understand your concepts.
Warren's election would vacate her seat with a Republican governor left to fill it. Not a good look.
No it wouldn't the Democrats have a supermajority in MA they could change how the process is done. Did it with Senator Kerry in 2004 but it didn't end up to matter. They changed it back when Deval Patrick was governor.
I'm rooting for Harris. She never got a chance to appeal to the black voters in South Carolina. Definitely is smart enough to fill the role and has the experience as a DA and Senator to know how government works which is going to be necessary when the next team starts putting it back together. Humpty was less fractured than our federal government at this point.
I’m in for Kamala as VP, too. That said, she’d make a terrific AG and Lizzie as either Senate Majority Leader or Treasury Sec would both be great moves. If not Kamala, is it too much to ask for Michele O to step to the plate for VP? Not only quite capable – but the Nutters of the world would lose their damn mind. Amy would be a great select for either AG or SecAg (she’s on the Senate Ag Committee). Biden has already committed to the next SCOTUS pick being an African-American woman.
Wouldn't it be great if he got to put that black woman in Thomas' seat?

I hate identity politics.
Choose the VP who is most qualified to be POTUS.
Or, if necessary, choose the one who is perceived to be. Not always the same.
Choose a VP that helps win.
