Maes Has an Ad

  • by: MADCO

($30k media buy? Please. Direct to Youtube for VICTORY! – promoted by Colorado Pols)

Though it’s unclear what kind of media buy he can budget.

It has some serious flaws.

One or two of the pictures are wrong choices.

Having the candidate look into a bright sun makes him squint and scowl.  Maybe he’s always like that.

When he references “my opponent” which one does he mean?

And then there’s the standard omg boring let’s have better government hooey.  He should have just said he’d eliminate waste and increase road and bridges spending, solving I70 while cutting taxes and restoring the O&G industry and getting the Broncos back on track.

    1. There have been more valid approved permits for drilling available to the industry in each month of 2010 compared to the corresponding month in the boom year 2008. (COGCC Staff Report, Sept. 16, 2010, p. 21)

      Number of Active Permits

      Month  2008  2010

      Jan     3451   4029

      Feb     3462   3722

      Mar     3535   3858

      Apr     3584   4040

      May     3657   4291

      Jun     3952   4373

      Jul      4152   4300

      Aug     4169   4481

So CrazyDan©, maybe it’s the market price for natural gas that’s affecting activity?

      Ya’ think?

      1. when the return (as in severance taxes) is at the lowest it has been in years…

Also, he said he would work to make sure energy companies could get all the natural resources out of Colorado’s earth that they could. He would go to oil and gas companies and ask them, “Where would you like to drill next?”

        http://www.reporterherald.com/

And in the Alice in Wonderland teabag world that’s called ‘conservatism’ folks.

      1. but that’s what he was ‘thinking’ about (and thought it made sense, more recently, to share that with the media)…

I like good judgment in a governor which is why, like the beejster I am and have always supported Dan [fill in the blank]

      2. That’s plenty of time to get it engrained.  The hard a’s gave it away.  Not nasaly enough for a true born and bred cheesehead.

If he had said, “yooze gize” at any point, I’d have said cheeseland indoctrinated south sider.

  1. I’m glad I’m not the only one who heard that – I wasn’t sure he’d actually just referenced one, given that he technically has NINE opponents (including the four write-ins).

That’s another thing that has me curious – polling so far only shows Tancredo, Maes and Hickenlooper, and doesn’t take into account any of the others, who conceivably could suck a percentage point or two out of one of the other three, mostly likely either Tancredo or Maes.

  2. I don’t think the standard legal is required in state races like it is on federal races. I believe the standard is a common person should be able to determine who’s paying for the ad and since it’s actually Dan Maes speaking I think that’s obvious.

On the Opponent vs. Opponents, maybe it’s because only one of his opponents is playing political games with personal attacks versuses focusing on issues.

    Just a thought.
