In honor of Libertad.

I imagine him sitting all alone in the penalty box in the dark tonight, silently crying himself to sleep.

But if he were here, he might have posted this. Two of the best campaign ads in campaign history, in my opinion.

…and two bonus radio ads.

  1. I don’t understand how anyone could have paid attention to the actions in the White House and Congress the last two years and claim that the right has been ignored.  Look at health care reform, many things were added into the final bill that were requested by conservatives and yet none of them voted for it.  Compromise is not being ignored.  Claiming that one is being ignored because you don’t get your way on Everything is against the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution.  The first assumption by the Founders was that to practice politics, one had to have good manners.  I haven’t seen evidence of good manners the last two years from conservatives.  Hopefully, for the good of the country, the right will realize that cooperation and compromise are part of our political system.

    1. His version of compromise is sending Republicans to the back of the bus. And no, for all of you about to call me racist, those aren’t my words. Those are Obama’s.

      1. The President (G.W. Bush) declared Thursday (2 days after his reelection in 2004):

Let me put it to you this way: I earned capital in the campaign, political capital, and now I intend to spend it. It is my style and I’ve got will of the people” which suggests he believes that his election is a broad political mandate. In announcing plans to reform Social Security, medical malpractice, the education system, and the tax code, he said, “I’ll reach out to everyone who shares our goals.”

        Found here.

        1. Obama should have appointed John McCain co-President to help heal. Then he should have resigned to make Republicans feel better. Then he should have told everyone who won their Congressional election in 2008 to resign and give it to the loser.

Republicans would still have called him Hitler, so nothing would really be different, but maybe someday in the future things will be.

    2. But trust me, with everybody who thought the wild ass spending that Bennet voted for in his short stay in the Senate was bad for this country, this resonates because it captures how millions feel.  It is the rally cry to come out to vote that will mobilize and inspire.
