in the last few years. I disagree with him on the tax compromise because it’s rewarding the Republicans for using tactics similar to the ones Bennet and Biden are decrying now, but I think he did very well in this clip. He’s right on the START treaty, and I hope the Dems continue to take the Rs to task on this issue.
It’s a testament to how broken the Senate is when they’re bitching about having to work on Boxing Day when many Americans are simply grateful to have jobs to go to.
part of the group that is planning to change the Senate rules when the new Congress is formed in January. Fixing a broken Senate is a priority for him. Get ready for some fireworks in January, and expect to see Senator Bennet on the front lines.

Republicans – the party of tax breaks for millionaires and long paid vacations for Senators…
before they decided to hold all legislation, along with the unemployed and the entire middle class hostage for the sake of keeping tax breaks for the rich that have a completely negligible stimulus effect and have demonstrated no significant job creation. If Kyl is looking for Grinches he need only look in the mirror and at colleagues on his own side of the aisle.
Between Kyl and Boehner, it’s a toss up who is the biggest hypocrite when it comes to allegedly giving a damn about religious teachings or working people. If Jesus was around today, they’d be denouncing him as a damned bleeding heart commie. At least McConnell doesn’t cry about all those sweet little children and poor working stiffs while screwing them or pretend to be concerned that working the week before Christmas is sacrilege.
Sen. Bennet is a much better speaker now. He’s been working on it. The mumble is almost gone. I love the guy, he’s got great ideas and he’s passionate in a quiet way, but sometimes listening to him is painful. Much improved here.
