At Least He's Not Your District Attorney--Round 2

  • by: Ralphie

Suspended Seventh Judicial District Attorney Myrl Serra has been arrested once again.

Last time, if you recall, it was for allegations of sexual misconduct.  This time, it was for violating conditions of his bond by contacting one of his accusers.  He faces a new felony charge and two new misdemeanor charges.

You can read about it in the Montrose Daily Press.

Maybe Serra ought to quit while he’s ahead?

  1. It can be a very strange town. Few who live there seem to be acquainted with the concept of a conflict of interest and intimidating the hired help is normal procedure.

Still, you’d think Serra would at least try to behave himself.

  2. Even if he were acquitted of the underlying charges, beating the charge that he violated bond conditions or a protection order could stick.  And, as DA, he is going to have a real hard time making the common claim of those who violate such orders that he didn’t understand them.
