Time to address radical Islam

  • by: CrazyOkie

We have recently moved from Diana Degette’s district to Mike Coffman’s district.  I opened up this mornings Centennial Citizen and read Mike Coffman’s article entitled:  “It is time to address threat of radical Islam”:

http://coloradocommunitynewspa…

Holy cow!  He would like to put all Muslim Americans in our military system through a “vigorous vetting process” – to make sure they are  truely American.  Who is this guy?  How did he get elected?  Why do I live in a district that would elect someone who has these views?  Isn’t Coffman aware of the atrocities committed by radical Christians?  So many questions…

  1. Land that gave birth to Tom Tancredo. Scary place politically, isn’t it? … Shudder …

Someone I know called him and complained that he has vote against Barack Obama’s agenda consistently since Obama took office. His staffer said Coffman represents the people who elected him, not the people who voted against him. How’s that for representing one’s constituents?

When we had a pro-health care rally in 2009 where more than 1000 people showed, two-thirds of them pro-health reform to one-third tea-partiers, his staffer told the media something like, “Most of them are  here to say Mike is doing the right thing by voting against health care reform” (a bold-faced lie, but very clever way to spin the news).

I could go on with countless stories, but it is already 1:30a.m. If I were you, I would do what the rest of us do:

    * work to re-elect Perlmutter when the time comes,

    * have a prescription for sleeping pills when Coffman’s votes give you insomnia,

    * find a group of neighborhood progressives to raise a glass with once in awhile. If you don’t drink, see a lot of comedy at Comedy Works.

    * Sadly, I do not know of a treatment for your skin when your flesh literally crawls when you see his face on CSpan.

    Best of luck, neighbor

    1. His staffer said Coffman represents the people who elected him, not the people who voted against him.

is the typical position taken by Republicans. Nothing new.

It seems to me we have already sacrificed a trillion dollars and thousands of lives to “address radical Islam”.

That isn’t his goal. Ultimately, it is to strenghten the police state with the eventual goal of establishing ethnic purity in The United States…or at least the state in which he chooses to live.

  2. .

My Congressman wants to stay the course until Victory in Afghanistan.

Sorta like the Victory we relished in Iraq, I guess.

And he got reelected with roughly 25 times the vote that the conservative (ACP) candidate got.

    .
