strikes again. I don’t trust him! I trust him! I don’t trust him! End the department of Education! Don’t end the department of education! What do I say now? How do I get re-elected? The 3rd District’s best and brightest, brought to you courtesy of the clowns in Mesa County. Can’t wait till they’re represented by Jared Polis.
just a little quibble, but he comes from Cortez. We’ve got plenty more where that came from, too, in the 3rd CD.
I do know he hails from Montezuma county but the only reason he got elected was the fine graft they grow in Mesa. Without Mesa, (and maybe even with) Tipton’s done. GOP politics in Mesa County is old school dirty. Yucky stuff indeed. Gives rise to politicans like Scott.
If Salazar had shown up here once in a while, besides parachuting in to talk to the Sentinel, more people might have voted for him.
Sometimes good people make shitty candidates. That’s how I view Salazar. Good guy, lousy candidate.
People like to be asked for their votes. If you don’t show up in person and ask them, you can’t expect them to vote for you.
It’s just too big for BS-ing the NW mountain counties. We get hosed only 107,000) by Mesa/SW politics. No representation regardless of affiliation.
What you guys think of Tipton’s chances if the redistricting causes the 3rd to lose Mesa. Looks like the 3rd CD would encompass everything south, all the rural counties, and Pueblo. Would Salazar step back in? From what I know – which isn’t that much – folks in Montezuma fear Tipton (his family has lots of clout and $$) but they sure don’t like him.

While mentioning pols like Scott, and the relationship to Mesa County, we must not forget King (S), Penry, and McGinnis. all from the old school dirty of Mesa County.

I don’t care for the “Tiption” though.
Anyway, I agree with IV up there; the “explanation” is that Boehner’s actually a genius. Then he’ll probably deny ever doubting. Douglas is twisting his words!
