It would be nice to pay off our debt over time. However, the point of the exercise is to exhibit just how silly the panic over the debt is.
All we have to do is let tax rate laws expire and return to their previous values and withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan, and the deficit crisis is solved.
I wonder just what the Republican “budget negotiators” current criteria are for “no new revenue” – does is include extending the current unsustainable tax rates indefinitely?

I make more than a little money off of the low end skill drivers. And I suppose a good autonomous system wouldn’t be a bad thing. But given the proliferation of hackers in the news lately, I would be very nervous about any centralized system running multiples of 1-5 ton objects around.

Me, I appreciate good leadership and right action regardless of party.
In Hawaii they get everything except the word marriage – because the state constitution defines “marriage” as between a man and a woman. So the legislature & Governor did everything within the constraints of the constitution.
Of course, when they passed it under a Republican Governor, she vetoed it. So it was Republicans & Democrats in the legislature plus a Democratic Governor.
