From our friends at “The Fix“:
he new Des Moines Register poll, which was released late Saturday night, tells the story.
Bachmann is in a statistical dead heat with former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney – she takes 22 percent to his 23 percent. Businessman Herman Cain is the only other candidate to receive double-digit support (10 percent.)
While the topline numbers are impressive for Bachmann, they reveal only some of her Iowa strength.
The other piece of it comes from the passion that the Minnesota Republican engenders in her supporters. In the Register poll, 65 percent said they had a favorable impression of Bachmann, with 31 percent saying they felt very favorably toward her. (Just 12 percent felt unfavorably about Bachmann.)

Keep going Bachmann! Keep going. Love it…
How can the Queen of the Teabaggers justify taking all of those Federal dollars for her “family farm” and her husbands’ business while hooting a shrieking to cut the payouts to such socialist programs as Veteran Health Care?
Michele Bachmann denies benefiting from government aid
The Los Angeles Times reported Sunday that Bachmann, a “tea party” favorite, had benefited from government funds and federal farm subsidies.

Republicans depend on dems belittling, patronizing, and dismissing republican candidates. It is the only way left for dems to feel superior, as they lost so spectacularly last fall. So your objective contribution is very much appreciated.
The only part of the Bachmann business empire is the care of foster care children. How much was the subsidy? What happened to the children? Did they receive medical care through a government program?
She and her husband took Federal Funds (in Teabagger language: “Wasteful Federal Spending”) in the form of farm subsidies and other payments to a counseling clinic, all the while she’s derided OTHER types of Federal Funds using the Teabagger term.
Y’know, things like money for the Dept Of Veterans Affairs:
http://www.armytimes.com/news/…
So, while running on a “holier than thou” platform of her stellar ethical conduct, she also has no problem cashing those Federal Checks. I guess if you massage the message to say “oh, WE really didn’t get the money, it was for our in-laws or employees” that somehow positions the Teabagger Halo back on top of your head.
So, if you say that point out blatant hypocrisy in candidates is “belittling, patronizing, and dismissing republican candidates” then get used to it, because the Republican’t President Race is going give me TONS of opportunities….
Most dems dismiss her as a “crank”…I was complimenting you for taking her seriously enough to point out how she is a federal fund dipper…plus, I think that the foster care program is another example of where she relied on government funding and probably medicaid for the kids….
Okay, I did misspeak to this extent:
I meant to write “another part of the Bachmann..” I noticed my mistake after I posted and thought “What the hell, nobody reads what I say, anyway.”
Look, I apologize for my goof and not making myself perfectly clear. I LIKED your Post and I was attempting to agree with it.
Keep it up, for god’s sake. I will restrict myself to the +number comments in the future.
“Michele Bachmann’s Holy War” for Rolling Stone. Here’s some of his best Batshit Bachmann zingers:
– “… a religious zealot whose brain is a raging electrical storm of divine visions and paranoid delusions.”
– She’s “Not medically crazy, not talking-to-herself-on-the-subway crazy, but grandiose crazy, late-stage Kim Jong-Il crazy … ”
– “… frenetically pacing the hallways of a vast sand castle she’s built [inside her own mind], unable to meaningfully communicate with the human beings on the other side of the moat, who are all presumed to be enemies.”
Or what about what her heart tells her:
That whirring sound TeaBaggers hear are their hard-earned campaign donation dollars sucked down Bachmann’s vortex of mendacity.
Best lyrics from 2012 GOP theme music: “… going off the rails on a crazy train.”
I liked this paragraph, as well:
God tells me to always put the pickles on before I melt the cheese on my burger. Jesus tells me to put the ketchup on first, then the mustard. And the Holy Ghost tries to tell me to grill it well done, but I usually ignore that…
I always enjoy reading him
Bachmann terrifies me. If she somehow knocks off Mittens and becomes the nominee — which I don’t think WILL happen but certainly COULD happen — and the economy continues to flail, or dips even further…
Terrifying. I don’t even want to type the words.
This is an “I shit you not” gaffe:
Per Washington Times:
Now let’s look at her factual fuckover.
(my emphasis)
more “… going off the rails on a crazy train.”
Freud says there are no mistakes.
told Waterloo’s John Wayne to put on his cheeseburgers?
.
.
“I have the spirit of John Wayne . . . I keep it wrapped in a double layer of pink tissue, and sleep with it under my pillow.”
.
.
So, Ellbee, you really want us to believe that you think this brick particular of velveeta is preferable to President Obama?
Hahahahahahahahaha!
WTF are you talking about?
http://www.coloradopols.com/sh…
(And, yeah, I do realize that it will probably be a couple of days until he/she catches this comment.)
… that he’d sooner vote for a brick of Velveeta than vote for Obama again.
But the point is, if Bachmann somehow does manage to get the GOP nomination, ellbee could get his chance.
chess axiom
I’d rather we institute a sanity test — agree?
Bachmann admits John Wayne flub, but still insists John Quincy Adams was a Founding Father
Now we know why Batshit Bachmann wouldn’t debate that 15 yr old. Hell, Bachmann ain’t smarter than a 3rd grader and she proves it everyday.
Hilarious that God told her to be a tax attorney but forgot to tell her to study basic American history.
Talk radio (read: Caldera…who funds his Independence Institute? You are no allowed to know) and then Fox Radio…..it is like the old software suites….they all come together…and really cannot stand alone.
Anway, Caldera’s caller said that the Founding Fathers worked to eradicate slavery, but the “government” made them keep slavery. Caldera agreed. Next day, Fox news had
Pat Caldell on reporting on a Rasmussen report that a majority of Americans (republicans?…I missed the first part) felt that the current federal government was a bad as the British had been before the Revolutionary war…..
Caldell said there is a “pre-revoluntary mood” in the country and the politicians are missing it..
Reinventing the so-called “Founding Fathers” and the history of our own revolution is part of the “disinformation campaign.”…funding by whom? The Chinese? Could be.
My eyes are going and so I am back to listening to the radio and tv…
Could you guys talk a little louder. Thanks.
