would have given some kind of reply regarding how she would work to improve our economy instead of parroting the typical Republican line that they want America to fail.
In the old days she would have been called out as a traitor for hoping people stay unemployed.
Libs & Progressives that want to scale back Iraq & Afghan ops or even opposed either war were labeled traitors and accused of wanting the U.S. to fail.
Why aren’t Rightie-tighteys that are on record wishing for Obama to fail, wishing for the US to default on debt, wishing for more unemployment among the populus called traitors?

When will Republicans stop supporting trickle down economics in the face of such dismal results? Probably never but continuing to give the rich everything they want hasn’t translated into a benefit to anyone else.
all the letters on the subject this morning in a newspaper that shall remain nameless, hardly anybody is buying that trickle down garbage anymore. I’m pretty sure the Rs who still make the claim after all these years of proof to the contrary don’t believe it either. It’s just all they’ve got to convince people to vote to screw themselves but the only thing that seems to be trickling down is the truth. Folks are finally realizing that there’s no pony in that pile of crap after all.
Good enough to get the nomination from people who value extremism but gets crushed in the general when moderates and Democrats get to vote.

It would not be beyond the realm of possibility (and greatly amusing), if Bachman got the R nomination, for Tancredo to try to make a third party run, for the good of the country (not because he has an ego or anything).
Think of all the money that could be devoted to senate and congressional races instead of the presidential. Tancredo to the rescue!
I read the article in Rollong Stone by Matt Taibbi. He thinks she is crazy. As always, terrific writing. Taibbi, no matter what the righties will say, is not in the tank for Obama or Dems. He has been pretty critical of the administration. It is a good read.
