Joe Biden said he wrote the 3.5 trillion, spending bill, it was his bill. I’m sure glad he wrote in 3 billion for tree equity. The question is, will plants feel disenfranchised?
Woah, Pear. Better step away from the ivermectin. Stamp twice if you disagree.
barnes, better get out here and make the spam diaries go away and tell us something irrelevant to commemorate.
Answering, again, the question: . . .
. . . “What’s the second thought that comes into the minds of old men desperate for attention, first thing in the wee a.m.?” . . .
October 5, 1921 – The World Series is the first to be broadcast on radio.
Looks like Kristi Burton Brown's true colors are about to be revealed! Even Peterboil and Jimmy Sanganbarger of KNUS are coming down against her, in today's a.m. talkfest.
Court Documents Reveal Colorado GOP Chair Led Conspiracy Group in 2020 (coloradotimesrecorder.com)
What are the "true colors" of an opportunist, someone who steps out of one position when she realizes it jeopardizes her chance for another?
JID, I was referring to KBB's continued insistence, in talk radio shows like Boyle's (where she appears regularly) that the CO GOP should "look to the future" and not talk about Trump's loss in 2020. Boyles tries to pin her on it over and over ("Was the election stolen?") and she just slithers away. As it turns out, she presided over a group that was determined to promulgate the Big Lie, and flood the courts with baseless lawsuits. Opportunist or liar? Maybe just a typical Colorado Republican, moon-walking in a skirt and lying with every breath.
Oddly, I think her lieutenant Priscilla Rahn (vice chair) is better spoken and certainly has less stinky laundry to content with. Perhaps she will step in when KBB resigns.
Yeah, okay, Peromyscus. But what’s Boyles’ take on The Big Lie?
Surprisingly (since Boyles still holds closely the birther crap), he thinks the Big Lie is indeed a Big Lie, and will be the death knell for the CO GOP. He claims he wants CO to go back to being purple, by "finding another Ronald Reagan" for its bench. There are tons of holes in *that* fine theory, but at least Boyles is urging all GOP candidates to admit that Trump lost, fair and square.
Well, that makes me feel a smidge better. But how long before he’s pilloried for a heretic?
Should Boyles be pilloried (for whatever of his many transgressions, past or present) it’s long, long overdue and well deserved . . .
. . . you can put me down as a “yes” for donations of overripe tomatoes and vegetables.
I mean, I'm down to pillory Boyles whenever.
But speaking of Denver area conservative talk radio, I landed on 93.7 "Freedom" during my lunch break today.
It was the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton show. Just by the names, you kind of know where they'll land on the Big Lie, vaccinations, etc. But their main point over the lunch hour was that people are suppressing conservative's free speech.
That's right – the conservative Iheart talk radio show with all the sponsors in a sea of other pablum classic rock and Christian stations is complaining that conservative speech is being suppressed. Buck and Clay also managed to land some hits at the Facebook whistleblower, and throw in some QAnon references about Bill Maher being "redpilled", whatever that means.
You piqued my curiosity, kwtree so I went a-googling: The terms “red pill” and “blue pill” refer to a choice between the willingness to learn a potentially unsettling or life-changing truth by taking the red pill or remaining in contented ignorance with the blue pill. The terms refer to a scene in the 1999 film The Matrix. Wikipedia
Former Fort Collins City Councilmember Gino Campana files for US Senate Run:
So it’s Trumper vs. Trumper (vs. Trumper?) in the US Senate Race. Although I’m not sure being a City Councilmember qualifies you in any way for the US Senate. Campana is apparently rich, though, so there’s that (someone should probably look at whether he enriched himself or any of his buddies while on that “nonpartisan board”). Do note that this may be a factor in Trump’s endorsement picks.
Next door, McMullin is taking on Mike Lee.
Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra wrote a famous story about this.
Yeah, but did Cervantes eat tacos and butterscotch pudding? Absolutely no one but Davebarnes wants to know.
Good to see someone is. I wish him luck. It won't be easy to dislodge Lee.
A bit of good news about vaccine mandates. Denver Post reports:
Trump wore Stephanie Grisham's makeup during a speech in Saudi Arabia because his body man forgot to bring the 'usual arsenal of products': book (msn.com)
The real question is whether he ever asked to borrow any of her underwear.
Inquiring minds want to know.
I wish Congress would take this to heart. It could well make up for the reduced spending. https://mattstoller.substack.com/p/will-monopolies-steal-the-infrastructure
