Boebert Appears in Disgusting Gosar “Anime” Video

  • by: Colorado Pols

UPDATE: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is calling for an investigation into the video, as The Washington Post reports in a separate story:

Pelosi’s statement echoed one issued earlier by the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee, which also called for an ethics investigation.

“In any other job in America, if a coworker made a video killing another coworker, that person would be fired,” the group’s co-chairs — Reps. Matthew Cartwright (Pa.), Debbie Dingell (Mich.), Ted Lieu (Calif.) and Joe Neguse (Colo.) — said in a joint statement.

“Mr. McCarthy needs to decide whether he will finally stand with the American people on the side of law and order or he will continue to support violence and chaos,” the Democratic lawmakers added.

Rep. Lauren Boebert depicted as a “hero” in video from Rep. Paul Gosar.

As The Washington Post reports:

Rep. Paul A. Gosar (R-Ariz.) shared an altered, animated video that depicts him killing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and swinging two swords at President Biden, prompting condemnation and calls for his Twitter and Instagram accounts to be suspended.

Ocasio-Cortez responded Monday night after arriving in Glasgow, Scotland, as part of a congressional delegation. Gosar, she said, will probably “face no consequences” because House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) “cheers him on with excuses.”…

…A Twitter spokesperson said late Monday that a “public interest notice” had been placed on Gosar’s tweet because it violates the company’s policy against hateful conduct.

The “anime” video also features Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Colorado’s own Rep. Lauren “Q*Bert” Boebert as “heroes” in the story, presumably partners in Gosar’s killing of AOC and Biden. You can see the full video here, but be forewarned: Watching the video won’t necessarily help you make any sense out of the content.

Colorado Rep. Jason Crow (D-Aurora) was one of many Members of Congress who are justifiably furious at Gosar’s video:

As far as we know, it’s probably not Boebert’s fault that she appears in Gosar’s gross video. Of course, Boebert also hasn’t commented on her cameo; if she objected to the content, she’s had PLENTY of time to speak out about taking it down.

  1. Boebert is one of Gosar's closest allies – she wouldn't have been featured in this without her blessing.

Just the latest episode like her coordinated message with Matt Gaetz to use explosives against the House metal detectors, their constant calls to release the Jan. 6 insurgents, and her endless fixation with guns: Political violence is the undercurrent of everything they want and everything they do. They will not stop until blood runs through the streets.

  2. "Bitch Slap" Politics, i,e. politics of dominance.

The strategy of the neo-fascist right wing from Proud Boys to Steve Bannon to the Republican Party is to keep escalating until the Democrats fight back. At that point, they will whine about being victims. Violence and fantasizing about violence is pornography for fascists.

The louder and more outrageous they can be successfully keeps themselves at the front of the news cycle and drowns out Democratic successes.

    1. Fluffy has been strangely silent.  Maybe he could give us some insight on the background here and whether he condones the violence, given his access to the campaign brain trust?

    2. Indeed. You could merely take this exact video and replace OAC with Mitch McConnell, and the right would be in full blown meltdown by the evening news.

    3. Aka, owning the libs.

I see it as the obvious and natural progression of Lee Atwater and the talk from Philadelpha, Neshoba county fair.

It all resonates politically with voters they need to resonate.

      1. BTS makes fun, danceable pop music. They’re adored among teens of all ethnicities like the Beatles were in the 60s. They sound like a young, pre-surgery Michael Jackson.

They do have their serious side.

And I’d bet that they wouldn’t approve of  Gosar using the Attack on Titan soundtrack as background in his hateful video.

        1. Didn't mean anything by it. My granddaughter is a huge K-POP fan. The connection between K-POP and anime is undeniable. I was just teasing the ancient one.😎

              1. Rice. Shut the fuck up. Quit while you're ahead.

I think you were warned about a permanent ban. That's what you're playing with. Don't foul the  whole forum again, then try to play the victim.

I shouldn't have engaged with you at all, and sorry I did.

                1. What warning was that, now?

What do I have to lose? All the awesome “growth” and “insight” these comments provide?

                  Oh dearie me.  Oh wo!

You are such a bitch for supporting Voyageur’s flagrant homophobia and bullying. And, I’ll say it again.

                  Kwtree, you’re a bad teacher.

                2. No, you shouldn’t have engaged.  You’re shittier at apologizing than you are at teaching.

You are still a dogshit person acting like dogshit to strangers.  That has real consequence for other people, and hey, I’m a real person!

Hey, know that guy V? He made fun of me when he believed my mother was dead. I may be a shitty anonymous person on this forum, but that guy’s your friend!

He is also unapologetically homophobic. THAT is what “fouls the whole forum.” Your homophobia and antagonism toward outsiders.

                  1. Hmm, "gratuitous harassment unrelated to the topic." Pretty sure that would be you, Duke, Cookie, and Colorado Pols' darling troglodyte and unapologetic homophobe, Voyageur. Pray, when have I opened up discussions warning others of the existence of a new user?

Again, what the fuck is the point of this site when all you want to do is sit and reminisce with your close circle? Why have a public forum? Is this targeted harassment YOU ALL engage in Colorado Pols policy?

      1. The fact that you didn’t get the “Fluffy” reference illustrates why you’re way out of line making these pronouncements about V. You’re too new here to make those kinds of judgments. Put your belt back down around your waist. Wearing it as a headband and then complaining that someone’s hitting below the belt just makes you sound hypersensitive. Sensitive types don’t last long on this board.

        1. Yeah, I'm way out of line asking basic questions. Again, what the fuck is the point of this site when all you want to do is sit and reminisce with your close circle? Why have a public forum? Is this Colorado Pols policy?

I don't know Fluffy so I asked. You jump in to defend some asshole prick who is apparently your best fucking friend despite his deplorable behavior and "jokes." Truly disgusting behavior. This seems to be what you want to cultivate, right?

Yes, bullies often say that their targets just need to lighten up. Not a surprise the peanut gallery comes out to jeer their hero bigot bestie.

  3. The House would need 2/3rds to expel Gosar — a threshold that seems unlikely.

But it only takes a majority vote to strip a Representative of committee assignments.  Or to censure [though that would only be a punishment for someone who felt shame and cared about reputation].

    1. Only takes a majority under the 14th Amenmeent to find a traitor traitorous and a seditionist seditious.  But to be frank, there will be no accountability for Gosar nor for the rioters that sought to execute our Republic. Indeed, if GOP retakes Congress they will use their power to go after political enemies – Biden, the ever-green Clintons, Obama., Pelosi.

Without such accountaibility, said Republic is in real jeopardy, probably on its last legs. (May take a decade or two, maybe less, until complete dissolution or overt dictatorship, but that is the path we are now running on).

  4. I was always afraid to post fantasy videos of myself assassinating the President of the United States out of concern that I would end up in FBI custody.

Different rules for the plebes I guess.

  5. Isn't this this the dumbass who announced during a committee hearing a few years back that being a dentist rendered him an expert in reading body language, thereby launching about a million "I'm no dentist, but . . ." memes?

Never let it be said that obtaining a DDS degree = intelligent and/or decent.

  6. Two of the main points of Attack on Titan (anime altered here) are: (a) People who sit behind walls while others starve are wretched humans (See Invasion of Trost Arc); and (b) Racism against people causes a cycle of destruction (See Marley arcs).
