Are there any bills being proposed by Republicans to ban plant-based foods in this session?
Asking for a friend (and a few farmers).
It's 2022 – their otherwise draconian bill would still allow a product known as Soylent Green…
If there can be a war on rural Colorado then hell, there can be a war on salad.
The pinko communist demoncrats are shoving plant based beers down our throats! CULTURE WAR
Yeah, meat-based beer is awesome. I think there are some Bacon Brews out there, because bacon makes everything better.
I think it was Jay Leno, many years ago tr
ied out a ham flavored beverage on passersby. It didn’t do well.
Far too prolix. According to dumbass piece of shit Hugh McKean, the state of the state can be fully described in one word.
McKean??? . . .
. . . that rapist*???
(*I heard it from a lawyer recently. According to his dictionary — the raping of our children and grandchildren of their futures makes it so.
Hoisted on his own rapier . . .)
Using the word “rape” for every transgression under the sun makes the word basically meaningless, and trivializes the trauma of sexual assault survivors…as Senator Winter said.
Similar to racists for every disagreement.
It’s not calling you a racist that makes you a racist, Pfruit . . .
(Relax Roger, remember, you can still always be your racist self, even when no one calls you one . . .)
. . . You’re kinda’ sensitive for a bigot, however, aren’t you?
So you would agree that students should be able to learn and discuss race honestly, without being labeled as “racists” by school-board-threatening book-burners.
Take your time responding- I know you all are going through some hard times right now.
Looks like an event with a high risk of COVID transmission. Gets me nervous for those who were present.
Yes, what happened to those plexiglass dividers which kept the germ-infested members isolated from the health-conscious members?
Not sure if those would do anything.
Jared knocked it out of the park on his State of the State speech. No great oratory (but you need a Neguse for that). He did sing some silly songs and made some lame Dad jokes. But he is, after all, a dad.
His libertarian streak was in full flower with the first half of the speech all about how the past year has seen legislation implemented about saving money : cutting taxes ,cutting rates ,cutting fees, and how he wants to expand cost-cutting this year. He even sang a song about it, “50 ways to save you money”. (Later, he sang some lines from Taylor Swift. I kid you not. ) No wonder Hugh McKean has the sads about Jared and the Dem legislators copying his homework.
His proposed budget , and legislative priorities included crime fighting and youth mental health programs- Thus showing he’s already on the issues Ms. Ganahl has tried to capitalize on in her run for Governor.
In some genius rhetorical jiu-jitsu, Polis framed all the “socialist” reforms as “saving people money”, which they obviously do. Insulin for $100/month is cheaper than $2000/month. Free PreK is cheaper than private childcare programs costing $800- $1500/month. Etc.
Polis has disappointed me with his mediocre meandering on environmental regulation and air quality. I am skeptical about all this tax cutting that he says won’t affect essential services. But he has been on the money with universal preK, which will help my grandkids; with allocating COVID funds to provide free at home tests for any who ask, and more. I get that others helped to promote and implement these policies, and will hopefully implement them fully, not the Governor alone.
But this was truly a speech to bring people together on pocketbook concerns. Good job, Governor.
