With a H/T to John Schroyer of the Colorado Springs paper, the above is from a mailer sent recently by CD-5 GOP primary candidate Robert Blaha, mounting a challenge to incumbent Rep. Doug Lamborn. Anyone familiar with Lamborn’s record, both in Congress and during his time in the Colorado General Assembly, is going to crack an involuntary smile over this attack on Lamborn’s “0-for-37” score.
Because while it’s true that Lamborn has mostly been in the minority during that time, and as a result naturally isn’t going to have lots of passed legislation, six years just sounds like a long time to go without passing anything. And as Lamborn’s colleagues in the Colorado legislature can recall, he just didn’t have very many good ideas–remember his big plan to switch the names of Mount Democrat and Republican Mountain, because Mount Democrat is taller.
Blaha’s aptitude is untested, but he’s right that Lamborn is no Thomas Jefferson.

Should be more schwas. Does anyone else wince when they see an unnecessary dictionary definition in an ad?
They need all the edumahcation they can git.
It’s clever, but do direct mail pieces work?
Robert just needs to send out two:
Doug with the live boy.
Doug with the dead girl.
Truth does not matter, only the images.
