Former state Sen. Larry Crowder of Alamosa, on a sugar high following the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade with the nod from Justice Clarence Thomas for society to “reconsider” all kinds of personal freedom precedents, is calling for the Ten Commandments to be posted publicly at area universities:
It probably won’t be Alamosa or Trinidad, but the test case to roll back this particular separation of church and state is coming from somewhere. Displaying the Ten Commandments in a public school setting was declared unconstitutional in the 1980 Stone v. Graham decision, but as we know today there’s no such thing as “settled law” with Donald Trump’s Supreme Court.
All we can say is, remember the Sabbath–and stash those graven images.

Let’s crowd source the current GOP 10 Commandments to help Ol’ Larry out:
1. Thou shalt have no other God than Trump.
2. (could there be anything but guns at #2?) Thou shalt never be more than a cubit away from a firearm, and shall at least tithe your yearly income to the gun industry.
3. Thou shalt not raw-doggeth porn stars, except as thou canst keepeth it on the Q.T. via payment of Mammon.
It sounds like the Second Coming of Roy Moore.
Hopefully without the child sexual assault, but one can never tell with wingnut Bible thumpers.
Just curious … has Larry Crowders made it clear WHICH version of the 10 Commandments he favors?
Larry Crowder was more effective when he was providing meaningful votes to support some environmental issues at the Legislature.
Those whacky religious extremists. Sharia law comes to Colorado with a twist.
FFS. This nation is doomed
