I wrote about the shootings in Aurora in my Free Press article scheduled to come out on Friday, so I won’t be commenting much about it here.
I met with an oncologist last Thursday. We are looking at a very aggressive treatment plan that includes chemo-therapy starting on July 27, to be followed by radiation therapy, and then 5-years worth of hormone therapy. The side-effects they’ve warned me about suck, but they beat the alternative by a long shot.
Does anyone know what happened to Kelly Sloan? He is no longer the local director of Americans For Prosperity. I think he is no longer writing for the Free Press, but that has not been confirmed. Usually his columns appeared next to mine every other Friday. When the managing editor left for a two-week vacation, she sent out an E-mail indicating that we had a special deadline to give her vacation replacement a little extra time to get the paper out. Kelly was not on the cc list for the E-mail.
I’ve heard that the people paranoid about Agenda 21 will be hosting a meeting in Grand Junction this week. Those same people seem to be paranoid about the idea of public trustees, specifically Paul Brown. I know Paul Brown, he is one of the most honest and decent men that I know. Despite that I’ve heard him called dishonest and arrogant on the pages of the Sentinel-a newspaper miffed at him because he decided to move public notices to two smaller local publications.
