Coffman's "Romney Moment" on Libya

  • by: Half Glass Full

While Mitt Romney was getting roundly excoriated from the left, right and middle for his insensitive, tone-deaf and unstatesmanlike statements about the Libyan tragedy, Mike Coffman here locally was branding the killings an “act of war.”

War? By whom exactly? Who does he want us to strike back at exactly?

I hope someone asks this bellicose Congressman this question. After all, we have been told that Libyan security forces were fighting with Americans against the attack, and Libya’s government has apologized for it.

Is Coffman saying we should, say, bomb Tripoli?

Does he really know WHAT the heck he is saying?

Should he maybe consider doing what Romney failed to do: keep his yap shut while the situation remains in flux?

  1. whom, indeed?  Doesn’t really matter, does it?  If you’re a Republican and you’re pissed about something, well then for God sakes don’t just stand there, let’s have another fucking war.  Can’t ever have too many of them, huh?   Good times.

I has almost forgotten about Coffman . . . the cacophony of dipshittery continues.

  2. I think we’ve reached the point where moderates are finally fed up with GOP intransigence and war mongering.  This has been confirmed during my canvassing rounds here in Arapahoe County.

The pump has been primed for Miklosi to label Coffman as a lockstep GOPer.  It’s time to inform CD6 voters of Coffman’s record supporting the “Party of No”.  And, you can toss in his apparent willingness to go to war, again.

Miklosi can win CD6 by exposing Coffman for what he is.

  3. That is, when he is safely encased in a loving cocoon of supporters like he thought he had a few months ago out in Elizabeth.   But this guy is smart enough and savvy enough to issue these “red meat” statements and then avoiding talking to legitimate journalists so he doesn’t have to defend what he says.  If I was a really rich, old, white guy (I only hit two out of three) , I would vote for Coffman.  But I’m not, so I won’t.
