5. I need to apologize for a total faux pas on my part. A few days I said:

   "I think I would go with Lisa Calderon in the top 5 rather than Mike Johnston. Johnston is a perennial also-ran. I’ve lost track how many times he has run for various offices and not won. I have no doubt he has his core supporters, but he doesn’t seem to ever get beyond that core." 

   I was completely wrong because I forgot there were two men named Mike Johnston in local politics. The Mike Johnston who is running for mayor is the former State Senator. He definitely SHOULD be considered one of the bigger contenders for the office.

   I had confused him with a man with the same who has haunted Denver City Politics for the past 40 years (and might not even still be alive for all I know  – he was quite a bit my senior and I'm no spring chicken).

   So my apologies to Sen. Johnston.
