Boebert Takes Off MAGA Hat, Takes Credit For Space Command

Following the announcement yesterday afternoon that the U.S. Space Command headquarters will not relocate to Alabama from Colorado Springs after two years of politically-motivated uncertainty manufactured by former President Donald Trump, Trump’s most indefatigable diehard supporter in the state’s congressional delegation Rep. Lauren Boebert praised President Joe Biden’s decision to reverse Trump’s last-minute act of treachery against the state…without mentioning either President’s name:

Rep. Lauren “Q*Bert” Boebert (R-ifle).

In case the contradiction here is not readily apparent, back in August of 2021, ex-President Trump declared what politicos in Colorado and Alabama already knew: the decision to move Space Command issued in the final days of Trump’s presidency was 100% a product of Trump’s vengeful whim. The Denver Post’s Justin Wingerter reported:

Democratic and Republican officials in Colorado have opposed the move ever since and alleged it was Trump who did it. Huntsville is in the district of U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks, a Republican and staunch Trump ally who led attempts in January to stop the certification of President Joe Biden‘s victory over Trump in the 2020 election.

Speaking on “Rick & Bubba,” a syndicated radio show in Alabama, Trump admitted that he was alone in deciding to move the headquarters, but confused Space Command with Space Force, a separate branch of the military.

“Space Force — I sent to Alabama,” Trump said. “I hope you know that. (They) said they were looking for a home and I single-handedly said, ‘Let’s go to Alabama.’ [Pols emphasis] They wanted it. I said, ‘Let’s go to Alabama. I love Alabama.’”

The awarding of Space Command to Alabama as payback for Alabama Republicans who backed Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 elections, for which Trump is expected to shortly face criminal charges over, isn’t just the proverbial elephant in the room. It’s the whole story, and no honest discussion about what happened here can take place without acknowledging Trump’s gross abuse of power to reward Republicans who stayed with him as he attempted to pull off the greatest electoral crime in American history.

That’s a list that includes Boebert, even though Alabama (temporarily) got the spoils.

If Boebert wants even a sliver of credit for undoing Trump’s treachery, she’d better at least say his name.

  1. She must have hired a new staff member. No spelling errors, no punctuation errors, no excess capitalization, reasonable sentences. Not MAGA standard.

    1. Maybe she's finally learning that she needs to be bilingual.

When talking to people in the real world, she needs to try to sound like something other than a brain-dead moron but when talking to MAGA-donians, she can pour on her innate stupidity and "be herself."

    1. The question, B.S., is how many of those 546 people have reconsidered their vote.

And when he said “I love Alabama” it was with the same tone as “I love the poorly educated.” Oh, wait. Same people.

      1. Adam doesn’t need those 546 to vote for him.  He needs at least 547 more than Boebert gets among the voters who vote in 2024 but chose not to vote before because everyone said that Boebert could not be beat.

  2. The only association with space that this ignorant fool will ever deserve to receive any type of recognition (pity, scorn, etc.) for is the empty void between her ears.
