Via Raw Story’s Brad Reed, former Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, now a talking head for the Fox News Channel with a reputation for taking the occasional dunk on his former Republican colleagues, speculates about one of the things we’re also pondering–in what could be Rep. Lauren Boebert’s final appearance at a Joe Biden State of the Union address, which Boebert has earned a reputation for heckling at maximum volume, will we see even more of Boebert’s trademark antics? Or has Boebert’s multitude of embarrassments in the past year leading to her desperate switch to another district finally given Boebert motivation to behave herself?
Fox News’ Trey Gowdy on Thursday took a not-so-veiled shot at Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) over her past embarrassing public behavior…
“On the Republican side, people are going to be watching to see whether or not, you know, members are vaping, or singing along with the songs, or getting handsy with a seatmate,” he said. “They want to see if Republicans are they capable of acting like adults in public.” [Pols emphasis]
“Wow,” commented host Harris Faulkner.
Summing up his preview, Gowdy said viewers want to see “if Biden can avoid falling asleep and if Republicans can avoid getting arrested.”
Even though Boebert is no longer on speaking terms with fellow 2022 heckler Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, it’s tough to imagine Boebert letting the evening go by without making herself an unwanted part of the SOTU story. Two years ago, Boebert’s endless firehose of low-information outrage still had some novelty. Today, you’re either a diehard Boebert groupie willing to forgive anything, or her compounding hypocritical train wreck has totally exhausted you. Boebert no longer hands out her incendiary rhetoric from a position of strength. Her universally understood vulnerability gives it all the appearance of desperation.
Another disruptive stunt tonight might backfire on a weakened Boebert, but we’ve seen no evidence she knows any other strategy. We’ll all find out together for good or ill.

I give credit to Mike Johnson for telling the crazies he expects them to sit down, shut up, and behave like adults. Maybe they won't, but he put them on notice. Good job.
The speaker is just trying to fool the voters into thinking Republicans are rational people. My bet is it won't work.
Have enjoyed the browser extension Make America Kittens Again on my Chromebook.(Does not work on mobile Android or iPhone, darn it). Changes pictures of Trump to pictures of kittens. Makes me chuckle.
Wish they could do one for Boebert, maybe Make America Puppies Again.
When it's over, and you're left babysitting George Santos…it's over.
