Appearing on CNN this morning with host Dana Bash, Colorado’s Gov. Jared Polis, who in all fairness has been listed as a potential candidate for vice president under the new Democratic favorite for the presidential nomination Kamala Harris, busted up the newsroom with this hilarious answer to the question of whether he would take the job if asked:
BASH: If she asked you to be her running mate, would you accept?
POLIS: Well Dana, we’re not even there, I appreciate the question. I love the job I’m doing, you know I love Colorado. It’s great. Obviously if somebody asked I’d take a serious look at it, but my phone hasn’t rung yet. Look, if they do the polling and it turns out that they need a 49-year-old balding gay Jew from Boulder Colorado, they got my number. [Pols emphasis]
BASH: Um, that was very funny.
Gov. Polis has always had a knack for self-deprecating humor, and it’s a joke that reveals more self-awareness on Polis’ part in these prediction-defying times than the average blindly ambitious politico.
Polis might still wind up being part of a Harris administration, of course, but Colorado would be happy to keep him for two more years.

Not everybody loves Jared Polis.
Yup. Between pulling the rug out from under his O&G petition to his veto of several progressive measures, quite a few people have reason not to <3 Polis.
If he is so unpopular, why didn't he have a primary challenger in 2022?
